Communication is an important component in the management of any organization. Whether its objective is updating the employees about new policies, listening to the employees’ attitudes or ensuring safety through the whole organization, effectual communication is a vital matter in effective management. Also communicating with investors is mainly about capital – the capability to access either debt or equity at the lowest cost possible. Through this reasoning it is vital to communicate with the investors about the strategy of business, the management’s ability to put it action, and then, the financial results that will be achieved through the execution of the strategy. The customers are also allowed to communicate their views on the organization's services or products and even make some suggestions on the improvements that can be made. The organization's action on the customers' comments makes the clients feel valued and motivated to continue communicating. Through effective communication, organizations can work together with their investors, employees, customers, and the community to help enhance the needed services and products to their clients and the organization's growth. For instance, to succeed, an organization like Apple Inc. has comprehensive guidelines and strategies that enable them to communicate with their employees, constituencies, customers, shareholders, and the community.

Apple Inc. launches new products now and then, which can be termed a success, and this has been enabled by the leaders, managers, employees, customers, and the community. All the parties in an organization are held together by effective communication to grow the organization by introducing customer-friendly products and services and building morale to the audience being addressed (Hargie, 2016). For instance, when introducing iPhone 11 Pro in the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, the CEO Tim Cook addressed the audience. The audience consisted of the organization’s employees, shareholders, customers, and the public. When addressing the audience during this event, Cook was live on stage at the theater, where he thanked the Apple Inc. team of employees, managers, leaders, investors, customers, and the community for working together to create the iPhone 11 (Apple, 2019). He also addressed the audience on various channels, such as on his Twitter handle. Cook also recorded a video and live-streamed to congratulate and thank Apple Inc. staff, clients, and the public for supporting the organization. He also asked them to continue supporting the organization to deliver more friendly and upgraded products.

Channels used by Cook during this launching even to pass his message were effective to the audience, and some had high potentials for feedback. Face-to-face is one of the most effective channels of communication that allows the audience to see how the speaker's actions align with their words and enhance their credibility (Hargie, 2016). Also, live streaming, video conferencing, and writing messages on online platforms like Twitter helps in reaching a bigger audience and anyone who does have a chance to meet the speaker face to face. These communication channels also help boost productivity, promote collaboration, save time, and reduce travel expenses. When Cook addressed the audience during the launching event through the different communication channels, the message was received by a larger audience and understood better. The channels like recorded videos and Twitter handle enabled the audience to give their feedbacks to Cook's message. For instance, people tweeted their responses to the message Cook was passing. Therefore, during the launching, these channels used by Cook were effective because a large number of people got the message and were able to give out their feedback.

The message Tim Cook passed during the launching event is a good example of effective leadership. Cook congratulated and thanked all the parties involved in the creation and manufacture of the iPhone 11, which served as an encouragement to the audience, and thus, leaders could also pass this message to their staff. The type of message passed to the audience is essential in an organization because it builds engagement, satisfaction, and morale to the employees, investors, and customers and enhances teamwork ( Mohanty, 2018 ). Passing an encouraging message to staff and shareholders in an organization is crucial, and thus a leader or a manager could use this Cook's message to motivate their staff. Also, the channels of communication used to pass messages are important since the aim is to reach it to as many people as possible. The channels Cook used are suitable and reliable enough to pass messages, and thus, leaders and managers could consider using them. They can be effective because the message can reach many people and have the potential for feedback.

Effective communication helps an organization such as Apple Inc. to be successful and develop. Good communication within an organization tends to boost the employees' morale, enhances satisfaction of the customers, and builds engagement between the investors and the organization. When the employees, customers, and the shareholders are well informed, encouraged, and thanked for their hard work and support, they feel more secure and motivated to act more on their roles. Every leader and manager in an organization is urged to have effective modes of communication as one of the leadership skills. Also, the channels used for communication have to be effective for the audience to get the message being passed to them. Whether oral or written, any kind of communication forms the foundation of any business activity. Communication helps the leaders and managers implement the basic functions of the organization’s management – controlling, managing, motivating, organizing, and planning. Typically, communication plays a fundamental part in all business' facets. Therefore, both the staff's communication skills and internal communication within an organization are important and effective.
