Apple Inc was founded in 1975 by two school dropout individuals named Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. It’s a multinational information technology company based in the US, California (Aljafari,2016). Apple has an impressive profile. It is one of the five biggest information technology companies, including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Facebook in the US. It designs, develops, and sells a wide range of products, including iPhone as the cell phones, iPad tablets, MacBook laptops, iMacs computers, apple watches, apple televisions, the air pods, and many other media-related and accessories (Apple Inc, n.d.). Apple has a high-value brand with a reputable image across the globe. It seeks to ensure that its consumers get high-quality products with performance and an aesthetically pleasing design (Aljafari 2016). The secret to its fantastic success records originates from its effective communication strategies and communication initiatives.
The internal communication tools
Internal communication tools are crucial to business success. The techniques help in information management and distribution. They are the basis for creating an environment of effective work relationships built on trust (Ruck, 2019). Trust is essential in creating a solid business culture. Internal communication is the primary key to getting exceptional customer and employee experiences. Internal communications are plans or guidelines used to communicate with the employees about the organization’s goals and roles to ensure the goals are achieved (Shaganaa, 2014). Apple Inc’s internal communication tools are created to support Apple’s supplier’s structures and working practices.

The structure has a broad scope that covers the business analysis, major stakeholders, and goals that are accompanied by plans that help solve the issues that Apple company and its suppliers may face in business operations. First, the company engages in the use of two-way communication (Shaganaa, 2014). That is between the employee, CEO, board of directors, and management. This strategy is achieved by providing a platform for the workers to voice their opinions, concerns, and ideas. It shows the employees that the administration is taking their concerns into considerations through actions like implementing change freely where and when it is needed. However, this strategy might create conflicts (Shaganaa, 2014). Some employees may use the platform for communication to argue with each other or the management. The disputes may cause tension in the working environment and disrupt the business’s operation, affecting the company negatively. Also, employees may use this opportunity to gossip and spread rumours across the organization instead of discussing the business’s growth.
The second internal communication strategy is random drop-ins. It is a strategy where the organization randomly visits its stores and supply chain (Shaganaa, 2014). It plays a role in ensuring that the employees work efficiently while maintaining the firms’ higher standards and practices. According to Shaganaa (2014), it also contributes to the high-quality products sold by the company to its consumers, leading to more sales and more profits. While the strategy is effective, it is disadvantageous as the employees may start having fear because of the random drop-ins and when facing disciplinary action and warning. Consequently, it might affect their work performance and outcome, affecting the business negatively.
The third internal communications strategy is the introduction of an employees’ financial aid package. The system shows that Apple cares for its employees. Shaganaa (2014) claims that it helps support the struggling employees and builds a good relationship between the employer and the employees. Therefore, it creates a suitable working environment. However, the strategy disadvantages the organization through the incurred cost expenses. Besides, the company is also forced to incur the cost to cover the struggling employees other than their wages and salaries.
Two more employee communication initiatives
Apple Inc may also consider employee communication initiatives to promote its business growth. First, it should measure the worker’s current efforts and reward the time’s best employees (Ljajić & Pirsl, 2021). This initiative would help the company in measuring the performance of all departments despite its considerable size. Measuring efforts is vital to business success because it paves the way for implementing new communication strategies and business improvement in the areas that may have lagged behind the expected performance. Second, the organization should Set up internal communication goals (Ljajić & Pirsl, 2021). The initiative is achieved by setting goals for both the employer and the employees that they have to complete to make internal communication strategies a success. For example, the achievement of goals empowers managers and reward employees who recognize and follow the brand values after a certain period (Ruck, 2019). Also, the initiative strengthens the relationship between the employer and the employees.
In conclusion, effective internal communication strategies and tactics are vital for business organizations. They entail the primary driving force of all business activities. The internal communication strategies must be sufficient for the business to succeed. If the methods are not enough, the organization will fail. The Introduction of a proper system should be established to eliminate conflicts and wastage of time. Thus, the systems should be monitored and improved when necessary.
