Aristotle is a renowned Greek philosopher who lived between 384-322 B.C. He is globally acknowledged for his lasting and significant contributions in most aspects of human knowledge during his era in fields ranging from aesthetics and ethics to biology and logic. His writings are spectacular to the extent of earning him the title, “The First Teacher” in Arabic philosophy and “The Philosopher” in the West.

In regard to politics, Aristotle’s best form of government was a democratic government since it allowed any one to run for seat and ruling was exercised basing on the number of votes attained by a political runner (Lindley, 2011). Aristotle also defined democracy as a very polarized society consisting of the poor and the rich without much difference. According to Aristotle, democracy provided equality in society since the predominant groups who that could be able to rule due to their wealth, political influence, or friendship could be ostracized (Lindley, 2011). Aristotle also liked democracy since he believed in the wisdom of crowd since they provide a better judgment regarding what is good for the society.
According to Aristotle, the best attainable regime is aristocracy. He believes in aristocracy since it involves a few most worthy and best citizens who are in a good position to rule basing on a common advantage (Cherry, 2009). Aristotle also prefers aristocracy since it involves a small group of people who are more resistant to factionalism that has invaded large groups (Lindley, 2011). Moreover, Aristotle claims that the small group of people is also able to resist the small temptations that might drag any of them to constitutionalize against the common good of the people.
