Ashland Park Robbins Elementary school is found in Omaha District, Nebraska. It is among the Omaha Public Schools (OPS) that is made up of about 53000 students with OPS schools include elementary schools (66), middle schools (12), and high schools (9). Ashland Park-Robbins Elementary School is found at 5050 South 51st Street (Map Below). It was formed by combining two primary schools (Ashland Park and Robbins. It runs under the OPS programs (Ashland Park-Robbins, 2019). Ashland Park Elementary School was located at the corner of 48 th and Q Streets. The name was coined from the ash trees that were planted by the early settlers. Initial structure was put in place in 1868. On the other hand, Robbins Elementary was located on the 39the Street and Hillsdale Avenue. It started in 1910. The school was officially constructed in March 1991 (Ashland Park-Robbins, 2019). It has represented Nebraska in Conference for Exceptional Student Performance for Two or More Consecutive Years and participated in Distinguished Schools Program.

According to the school principle, Jan Martin. The school owed its name to two Ribbons, Charles, 11 and Melvin, 9, who rescued their mother from a house fire. A plaque was set in honor of the learners and the school remains the only one ever named after children. The heroic act set the whole community in motion praising the kids that late led to their name being put on the plague.

The school enroment is charactistic by a lot of diversity. The most represented racial group are the Hispanics (72%), Whites (21%), African Americans (6%), and the others. The school has a refugees enrollment from across the world. It also pride itself of accomodating gifted/talented students which represent . Based on 2018-2019 data, Ashland Park Robbins Elementary K-6 avarage class size is at 20.22. Compared to the previous year, this was a 0.8 increase.
