Full Sail Video

The Full Sail video uses a combination of audio and visuals to recruit new students for the university. The rhythmic soundtrack is soft and appealing, creating a comfortable and relaxed ambiance for the university’s environment. The creator of the video sought to set the atmosphere and the character of the institution. The library and study areas’ looping visual representation shows that Full Sail University provides scholars with access to educational resources and personal study spaces.

The video begins with warm-colored visuals about the university’s library, then proceeds to the media center (showcasing a cast in progress), the studio, and finally to the institution’s spatial settings (Full Sail University, 2012). The warm colors on the walls are welcoming and accommodative. The video transitions from the library (sense of seriousness) to the media center and studio, illustrating a connection between ample access to study resources with practice in the real world of arts and entertainment. This case provides virtual reality, thus allowing viewers to navigate through the video and control their experience.

I could use a video like this to promote my blog. I would use an ambiance-establishing soundtrack coupled with accommodative visuals of the information accessible from my blog. Like the Full Sail video, I would envisage what the target consumers would want from my product.

Dollar Shave Video

The video uses audio storytelling to create a relatable tone and style. In the video, Dublin tells a story about how great the Dollar Shave razors are by taking the viewer’s right from the office to the production section, a demonstration of the razors effectiveness, its value to the community, and the celebration mood it gives the consumers (Dollar Shave Club, 2012). The video uses irrelevance to create the perception that consumers want value for their money, which could be achieved by getting quality razors for a dollar, an aspect that shows the possibility of saving.

The Dollar Shave Club ad uses visual humor to capture viewers’ attention. In one part, Michael Dublin appears with Alexandro on a movable train-like wagon (Dollar Shave Club, 2012). In this part, the video creator presents the company mission on job creation with a twist of savings for the company-razor users. The video captures the consumer’s imagination on how little can be used to achieve more personally and, at the same time, assist others in prospering in their private lives. In this case, the company’s value and its products to the consumers and the general community are captured. Therefore, the company its value-creation aspect to announce the market entry of its new product.

Likewise, I would use storytelling with a twist of humor and irrelevance to announce my blog. These aspects would be captured to align the information accessible through the blog with its value to the intended audience.

Science World Video

In the  Science World advert,  the video creator uses audio and visuals concurrently to tell a story about the activities and things available at the museum (Science World, 2019). In scenic presentations, the narrator gives a cast of some of the informative and entertaining items present at the museum. Using patrons in a celebratory mood illustrates that the museum is not only educative but also entertaining. In this case, the video appeals to people interested in issues that inculcate information while at the same time creating a sense of humor.

A video like this would be valuable in welcoming viewers to my new blog. The video would capture some of the informative and entertaining resources featured in the blog. It will give the intended viewers an overview of the things they would seek from a real blog representative of everyday human activities.

My Twitter and Pinterest Accounts

I have created Pinterest and Twitter accounts. I have three tweets in my Twitter account so far, five followers, and I follow two other Twitter users. In my Pinterest account, I share new ideas and pictures daily. I have weekly posts on the Pinterest account through which I share several ideas.

I have an elaborate plan to increase audience engagement. I intend to post contents that resonate most with my audience. I intend to share my content at the best times. Sharing a variety of links helps me get a great following. Keeping my tweets short, running Twitter polls, and participating in Twitter chats are critical strategies to expand my audience and increase my following.
