How children’s heredity is influenced by the environment 

Heredity is often linked to the inherent traits that are manifested in individuals at birth. Traits are usually passed on from one organism to its offspring through the DNA (Collins et al, 2010). However, research delineates to the fact the environment in which individuals grow up in influences the manifestation of physical traits subject to climate, diet among other factors (White, 2016). This is exhibited by the fact that Chinese Americans are taller than their predecessors who grew up in China before immigrating to the United States, hence delineating the impact diet and environmental conditions could have on heredity (White, 2016). 

How children’s pre- and post-natal development is influenced by the environment 

Environmental influences during post natal and pre natal care have been found to have adverse influences on individual health and social adjustment both during childhood and as an adult (Prezza et al, 2001). Research delineates to the prevalence of illnesses and conditions acquired during post natal care. Additionally, research points to the disruption to development that may be caused by the environment that is created during pre natal care (Rice et al, 2010). This could result in physical defects and deformities, owing to the disruption of proper development.

How children’s birth is influenced by the environment 

Child birth and labor could be influenced by environmental factors that affect the emotional wellbeing of an expectant mother. Proper physical care during prenatal stages in addition to the nurturing of optimistic and positive attitudes in an expecting mother is essential for ensuring that the proper process of birth (University of Minnesota, 2018). Furthermore, the birth of children is influenced by environmental factors including the diet that is available and accessible to the mother. This is in addition to factors such as physical therapy availed to the expectant mother in preparation for birth. 

Implications of the environmental factors for promotion of healthy development and learning 

It is vital for both teachers and caregivers to pay attention to the different environmental factors that affect the birth, pre- and post natal care in addition to heredity of children. Additionally, sensitization of expectant mothers and caregivers is essential to ensure that the proper environment is provided for the breeding of a superior generation of offspring.
