Introduction to Buddhism Religion
Buddhism religion is composed of philosophical rules and doctrines. The rules aid in the teaching of that religion. They are used to define the experience of a human being in his or her life. Four main truths are associated with Buddhism. They include; life is full of suffering, desires cause suffering, desires can end, and eightfold path as the end of the desire ( Ellwood, & McGraw, 2014 ). Buddhism exists in various types. They include Theravada Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, and Vajrayana Buddhism. There is also another type referred to as Zen Buddhism. It is known to have been raised by Mahayana Buddhism. However, the divisions that exist within the Buddhism religion does not make the followers of one type different from the ones of the other regarding their faith. The basic teachings of religion are similar in all of its divisions ( Eliot, 2018 ). This work, therefore, discusses the Buddhism religion and compares it to the basic beliefs of Hinduism.
Comparison of Buddhism and Hinduism
Buddhism is closely related to Hinduism. Buddha was a prince to Hindu. However, he found his path later upon realizing that the path of Hindu was not the best for him. The two religions, therefore, have developed lots of factors acting as differences between them. For instance, Buddhism takes life ultimately as nothing and meaningless. However, Hinduism takes heed to respect life and the relationships that exist among human beings. It considers that all things should live united and as one. Hinduism believers are made one with all creation through Moksha ( Ellwood, & McGraw, 2014 ). Nirvana, on the other hand, is gained by the Buddhists to separate them from all the things.

Buddhists believe that suffering is one of the major principles of life. Following such a belief, no follower of the religion would like to live in a world of suffering. Therefore, they dedicate their lives to meditating about the teachings of Nirvana. Hinduism views life differently from Buddhists. It believes that life is full of joy. Buddhists believe that attachment between things is that main source of suffering in life. However, it is normal for the physical body to be associated with suffering. Therefore, suffering is taken as a real aspect of life, world and everything in it is perfect ( Eliot, 2018 ).
Hindus refer to the Gita, Vedas, Ramayana, and Vedas to gain knowledge of various aspects of life. However, Buddhists go against all of the teachings contained in the Hindu scriptures. Buddhist do not lean their faith on God nor do they worship God. Some of its followers are aware that gods exist, but they have no conviction that gods are creatures that deserve their worship. Others have not yet believed that there is the existence of gods. Therefore, following the large numbers of gods worshiped by the Hindus, it can be concluded that gods are not present in the Buddhists religion whereas there are several gods in Hinduism ( Eliot, 2018 ). The ways of performing rituals also differentiate the two religions. Hinduism has systematic ways of performing its offerings whereas Buddhism has no such order.
