The real cause of the conflict is that the doctor appears as a bully and is inclined to incivility. The nurse on the other had is short tempered and she cannot control herself. It is apparent form the conversation that the doctor is rough and he does not care about the feeling of the nurse. His expression amount to incivility and they can cause psychological impact on the junior workers, including the scrub nurse. The nurse takes the incivility personally and instead of calculating her response she does it in a blunt way while they are in the operation room. This is bound to impact the patient.
The conflict can be resolved by having the two staff separated, they should not work on the same room because they will continue hurling insults at each other. This can result in a fight. They should be dragged from the OR suite where surgery is taking place. They can also be commanded to stop the conversations and concentrate on the surgery then the conflict can be solved later (Lockhart, 2016). The other option is to change the scrub nurse and replace her with a new nurse. The new nurse is unaware of the conflict and therefore will perform well and make the surgery successful.

The immediate action would be to give the medical staff a break so that they can cool down. Then the healthcare administrators should investigate to know what factors brought this conflict. Sometimes people respond in such incivility when they are working under pressure or they are not provided with adequate resources (Lockhart, 2016). Some people tend to bully the nurses because they disregard their work. Therefore it is good to establish the real cause the conflict and work towards solving. Additionally it is good to note that a nurse any other medical staff should try to refrain themselves from any uncivil behaviors (Lockhart, 2016).
