In the last decade, hate crimes against Asian-Americans have been rising, prompting U.S. President Joe Biden to sign a law that addresses rising concerns (Edmondson & Tankerley, 2021). Some of the cases include killing eight people in a shooting rampage that occurred across three Asian spas and the slapping and setting of a Chinese woman on fire. In addition, there was a slashing of a Filipino-American in the face using a box cutter and the death of an elderly Thai immigrant when being shoved to the ground. These examples are part of a surge in hate crimes against Asian Americans witnessed since the pandemic began a year ago, with thousands of reported cases in recent months.
Activists posit that these incidences are linked to the rhetoric that most Americans blame Asians for the spread of Coronavirus. In that case, a campaign action plan is essential for creating a successful; campaign against hate crimes towards Asian Americans. The campaign aims to reduce the incidences of hate crimes against Asian Americans using sponsored awareness messages on social media (Nakamura, 2021). If social media, especially Facebook, were a country, it would be the third largest populated country after India and China. In other words, campaigning using such tools as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are important as it exposes a large audience in the U.S to our awareness creation.

To make the plan achievable, the key aspects and considerations for its success include a clear definition of the target audience, who are Americans.
