Career development theories are frameworks that help in the lifelong processes at work. They focus on seeking, obtaining, and processing information about the self, occupational, and lifestyle opportunities at work (Sharf, 2016). Markedly, I will use the adjustment, social, realistic, and investigate theories. Theory of adjustment will help in dealing with daily pressures that occur at work. This will be highly significant as it will help in keeping the self at peace. Social theory will be imperative as it will help in training, informing, avoiding technical skills, and being empathetic to others. This theory will also help in constructing meaningful relations, a critical component of networking. I will also use the investigative theories; this is a set of analytical, analytical, and explorative guidelines for working in a diverse community. Finally, I will employ the realistic theories (Sharf, 2016). This will come handy when I am on the ground and dealing with daily chores at my station. This will help me synchronize situations when working with hands, machines, tools, active, and during practical situations.
I will use more than other theories depending on the nature and setting of work. Some work processes require proactiveness, and as such, I will use two or more theories to help in achieving the intended goals. For example, busy situations will require me to utilize adjustment, social, and realistic theories. This will warrant minimal occurrence of errors.

Social cognitive career theory provided positive results for my career client. This is because the theory provides pertinent elucidates on three key components, namely self-efficacy, outcomes executions, and personal goals (McMahon, 2016). First, counseling is centered around helping people that have self-efficacy. I was able to address the expected outcomes through this theory. This was based on the beliefs that people hold about an action that they will partake in the organization. Finally, I used this theory because it helps in addressing the client’s personal goals, consequently helping in guiding and sustaining positive behavior.
