Human Resource in Change Healthcare ensures that the organization’s departments have competent and adequate employees to deliver on their targets and improve the overall organizational competitive advantage. The employees put more efforts in accomplishing the organizations overall vision, this is achieved by employees training and development, and implementation of performance appraisals to determine the employee's efforts and value (Albrecht, Bakker, Gruman, Macey, & Saks, 2015). The Human Resource Department works alongside patients, employees and customers to enable identification of areas where the organization can come in and make improvements to enhance the patients’ positive outcomes. 

Change Healthcare has developed efficient and effective communication networks; a culture of interdepartmental collaboration and customer care services to help it connects with several customers such as providers, pharmacies, laboratories and payers. These human resource activities enable the organization to enlarge its market and retain its existing customers hence, improving its competitive position in the healthcare sector (Albrecht et al., 2015). 

The employees’ behavior is also a strategic asset to Change healthcare. HR department in the organization is responsible for developing and implementing rules and policies that guides the employees ethically hence, enhancing the organization’s integrity and reputation. Human Resource department in Change Healthcare recruits new employees, sets performance standards to meet the organization’s strategic objectives. Additionally, human resource managers in the organization ensure that employees acquire right skills and competencies through frequent training and development programs to improve their performance. Moreover, the Human Resource department provides that employees are appropriately remunerated, and high performing employees are motivated (Becker et al., 2015). 

Human resource in Change healthcare enables the firm to maintain a sharp competitive edge thereby playing a critical role in the success of the company. Change Healthcare values client satisfaction and with the help of the Human resource department have developed customer-oriented and service-oriented cultures which stimulate performance and strengthen the company’s competitive advantage in the industry.
