1. Appropriate change management policies
Change management policy outlines the procedures to be followed when there is a need to have some change within an organization. Change management policy aims at creating awareness and understanding of the changes that are proposed across an organization. The change policies are categorized to standard change, significant change, and emergency change. Each policy depends on the organizations and the situation that calls for the change. A standard process should be followed to ensure that the change management process is under appropriate planning and execution. Changes in organization impact performance, therefore, a standardized process and procedure is applied to minimize the risks associated with failure to adopt the changes (Hayes, 2014).

Evaluation; evaluation involves checking the credibility of the change and determining the risks that could impact on the whole change process
Reviewing; this is where the plan is reviewed by the board and the peers for the purpose of endorsing it
Approval; approval is obtained by the management
Communicating; the change process will not take place before it is communicated to the affected parties
Implementation; this is where the process of making changes takes place in action
Documenting; the change is documented together with the reviews made for the purpose of future use
3. Tools of change management
Change management has been one of the challenges that most companies encounter. Development of change management tools has helped companies to undertake the change process successfully. ITIL ready fresh service is one of the tools used by companies to effect change. The tool offers an opportunity to plan, record, keep track of the change and roll out the change process. A good change management tool should be easy to use and affordable to any company, it should also ensure that the process is successful and gives the company a guideline on each step of the process.
