I interviewed my neighbor's son, who is 11 years old. He attends a nearby school. Afterschool, he attends childcare, where he gets to play with other children. An examination of the childcare center was based on the staff/children ratio, children's engagement, activities, indoor and outdoor facilities, and the activities' purpose. He then responded to my questions regarding what he likes or dislikes about the after-school engagement. He seemed to like the place in his response since he gets to play with other children. He can no call "friends." Thus, after-school activity enables him to make friends.
His love for the place was immense, but he still mentioned some of the things he disliked. He acknowledged being bad to him, including angry teachers and friends, and staying in the child care center for too long. Both his likes and dislikes are illustrated below.

The interview was interactive. The child was receptive and cooperative. I was surprised to hear some of the things he said regarding afterschool care. I came to realize the importance of providing the children with some form of engagement after school. It facilitates healthy growth. The child voiced a variety of activities he loved participating in inside and outside activities. For instance, he loved drawing, playing with dolls, and swimming. In these activities, the children play with their peers, and so they learn from each other.
