Classroom management is a complex challenge for every teacher. However, it is a bigger challenge to new teachers because they only have the classroom in mind. Making the plans in mind to work becomes a major challenge that needs proper strategies. Every teacher, however, has a picture of a class full of students and has a dream of how they are going to work together smoothly. Nevertheless, the classroom life is not always smooth as one may think. Teacher and students have to collide here and there as they both strive to meet the required goals. Therefore, any teacher should draft a classroom management philosophy to assist in minimizing collision and to see the goals in a more easy way.
The first strategy to help in classroom management is motivating engagement which makes a classroom a more enjoyable place for pupils. Engagement in learning has been found to be a good tool for students' performance in class. There is always a higher difference between students who are motivated to engage each other in learning and those that are not motivated in engagement when academic achievement is considered. Therefore, in any classroom management philosophy, students' motivation in engagement is paramount for better performance.

In essence, to make it easier to handle students, rules, procedures, routines and behavior expectations should be outlined. In my future classroom, I will give a few, but which will broadly cut across. A few of procedures, routines and behavior expectation will be easy to understand and will reduce chances of misconduct in the class. I will also give my behavioral and academic expectation as part of my guidelines so that all students can work towards the set goals. Easy to understand rules and behavioral expectations will minimize cases of students' noise making when they are in class during seat works and on rotations.
Lastly, to make sure that my classroom management strategies are working in a good way in assisting students to meet their diverse needs and to achieve instructional goals, I will develop a student-centred mindset in which I will involve students in making decisions. I will also try to partner with families in discussing the progress of students so that parents can assist in keeping behavioral and academic track of the student.
