Climate change is a problem that many people around the world have raised their concern about and aimed to prevent. They have also purposed to ensure that they come up with different methods that they can use to help in the fight of global climate change. It is obvious that many organizations, professionals, philanthropists, and individuals have raised concern and come up with different programs to help deal with the issues of climate change and its effects on planet earth. Moreover, many researchers have continuously outlined the negative effects of climate change and proposed several strategies that individuals, organizations, corporations, and other movements can use to help avert the adverse effects of climate change around them. Therefore, it is important to discuss how many people have viewed climate change as a market failure in the recent century.

Major stakeholders

Some of the major stakeholders in the analysis of climate change and its effects on the environment include philanthropists such as Bill Gates, Exxon Mobile, environmetal specialist and analysis, government, and individuals who have aimed to come up with effective methods of dealing with the issue of climate change in modern days. The ,stakeholders have come up with various methods such as ventures that promise to provide clean energy that release less or no carbon dioxide and other green house gases into the atmosphere. Such a move aims to control problems of global warming with is the major player in climate change. The stakeholders have also hoped to examine other green house gasses emissions and evaluate how they contribute to the challenges of climate change in the environment in which people live.

Better still, some stakeholders have taken the opportunity to investigate various large corporations such as oil producing companies and examine whether they have complied to production rules that aims to protect the environment, monitor carbon and green house gas emission and take care of the rapid changing climate and its effects on the environment. Other have also taken part in the active investigation and proposition of the methods that people can use to avert harsh climate change problems and purpose to keep the environment safe and habitable.

Stakeholder interests

As stated above, the stakeholders have one similar goal in mind and this is, to come up with projects that can help deal with the issue of climate change. Despite the common goals, each stakeholder has specific ideas towards achieving these goals. For example, some have proposed clean energy venture that release less carbon dioxide and fewer greenhouse gases in the environment. Some of them investigate large and small corporations and business enterprises to examine the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouses released into the atmosphere while others have examined the extent to which weather changes have destroyed the environment so far and propose ways of averting it.

Options, power, and resource constrains

Some of the options that the stakeholders have are to come up with various strategies that can be used to stop the ranging climate changes from destroying the environment any further. The power with which they will act depends on their knowledge of the current weather change issue and the success or failure of the proposed strategies. They also have the power to investigate various actions taken by ordinary people to worsen the situation so far. Despite the fact that the stakeholders have the will power to do the best to end the situation, the face some issues in resource constrains. For example, some companies such as Exxon Mobile, which are also some of the major stakeholders, have not been honest in declaring the problems of climate changes in their organizations (Supran & Oriekes, 2017). Some stakeholders also have effective clean energy plan that will take longer duration to realise on the same note, some of them have shown great optimism on the possibilities of ending the problems of climate change.

Relevance of theory and concept

Effects of climate changes

The theory and concepts learnt in the course indicate that climate changes have presented various issues to the environment. For example, increased global warming has brought about rising sea levels. The course units have also been concerned about the melting permafrost, which has lead to the melting of ice at the arctic regions (Wallace-Wells, 2017). Worse still, melting permafrost is a dangerous side effect of climate change because it can release about 1.8trillion tons of carbon. The carbon can melt and release 34 times more methane, which is a powerful greenhouse gas-warming blanket.

Lack of scientific disclosure

The theory and concept has indicated that it is import for organizations to be honest about their knowledge of scientific effects of climate change. However, some organizations such as Exxon Mobile have misled their employees and the communities about their earlier knowledge of the native effects of climate changes in the environment. They chose to hide the effects with the aim of increasing sales in oil and petroleum product without caring to protect the environment and inform their employee about the existing issues of the actions.

Positive initiatives

It is evident that theory and concepts require human beings to come up with major strategies for solving climate change, global warming, and environmetal pollution issues. As such, philanthropist such as Bill Gates and others have come up with clean energy ventures to help them make, find and utilize energy sources that are less harmful to the environment (Dolan, 2016). The energy sources should not worsen the problems caused by global warming and weather changes.

Key points of contention

Clean energy sources

Some of the key points of contention include the need to develop clean energy sources that will emit no carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. The type of energy sources proposed should aim to reduce green house gasses emission, readily available, and affordable to all.

Honesty in disclosure about scientific issue

Large corporations dealing with oil and fuel productions need to be honest in the scientific issue that concerns climate changes. It is important for such companies to be clear on the amount of dangerous gases they produce in their organizations as well as educate their employee on how to cut them.

Environmental protection

Moreover, stakeholder in various sectors also need to practice environmental protection strategies that can help deal with the negative effects of climate change. The rate at which ice is melting in ice ones is another factor that the people should deal with accordingly to help preserve them.

Options for business and policy makers

Some of the options that the business and policy makers need to adopt include creating clean sources of energy that emit less carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases. The proposed gases should also be available The policy makers need to ensure that they conduct investigation to ascertain that all organizational leaders regularly provide an update of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emission in their plants. Moreover, it is important for them to come up with environmental protection strategies that aim at monitoring and reducing the effects of climate change such as global warming. Moreover, stakeholders such as EPA also need to come up with strict laws for monitoring gas emission and environmental pollutions, which also lead to adverse weather conditions that affect the environment in which people operate.
