Mrs. Devard mentioned that she was never in a company to make friends but to make a positive difference towards the productivity of the organization (Devard, 2017, 44:11). As a c-suite executive, there is a high probability of experiencing loneliness. These c-suite executives in spite of being surrounded by many people who work under their control, it is clear that majority of them have a lonely life. Similarly, although they are busy interacting with other people on sales, this can give them a false sense of connection, and only a few can share with others. Additionally, their perceived importance and the nature of their position create a distance between the leaders and employees. This gap can be seen when the c-suite executives enter the office, and the embarrassed eyes look elsewhere, and others look for the signs of the mood of their leaders.

In the effort of creating an effective company, many c-suite executives end up more isolation. The employees focus in telling their boss the things they want to hear rather than what is affecting them which further widening the gap. Also, the leaders face the dilemma of direct interaction with the employees where interaction may look like he is trying hard to buy favor. Also, traditional views of leadership have also contributed to their loneliness. The leaders are marked out as special due to their armory in making a decision, and executing tasks. They seem to go around regularly active without resting, and wherever they go, they are regularly making judgments, unraveling problems and leaving a feeling that other people are not clever. The superhero look of a leader is further exacerbating the gap between them and other employees.

Also, many c suite executives experience lonely life since they are not comfortable in showing their vulnerability. many admit that they suffer imposter syndrome and anxiety and as the anxiety increases, the more they live a private life rather than sharing their doubts which are natural to all people.

Mrs. Devard journey towards success was primarily driven by first enjoying what she was doing. She said that there is a strong correlation between enjoying what a person is doing and success (Devard, 2017, 6:24). After Mrs. Application for an engineering course, she failed since she had no interest in engineering. The turnover of Mrs. Devard to business world opened many opportunities in her life. She started with as a commodity broker, and her witty dealing of calling those who gained profit and who lost money in the stock market acted as a driving force to help others understand risks, therefore, making a profitable transaction in the future (Devard, 2017, 14:18). Additionally, Mrs. Devard was driven by ways in which she would convince customers to buy products making her pursue a marketing class.

Also, working with others and consultation made her identify mistakes in while studying statistics course. Additionally, she identified reaching out for help as an important factor towards success (Devard, 2017, 24:18). Also, speaking up, stating the problems in case of market failures and identifying solutions made Mrs. Derrald feel appreciated. Also, the value of understanding humility is an important factor towards her success. The humility to know when you are wrong, humility to seek help, and the self-questioning to understand different situations is an important factor (Devard, 2017, 30:10). Furthermore, getting others to know what she did wrong improve her techniques in marketing to reduce future mistakes from occurring.

The two important questions that drove Mrs. Devard towards marketing are what are you selling? And who are you selling to? Inability to know the customers has a direct relation with failure to know what the customers need and making a general statement that every person needs a particular product. Also, Mrs. Devard focuses on dealing with a one product line, has increased sales volume and customers can develop a sense of trust that a company can offer the best (Devard, 2017, 38:18). A company diversity on products is likely to be questioned by the customers. Also, Mrs. Devard is open to mentorship which makes her more knowledgeable in making sales.
