I agree with the fact that the introduction of technology has been a mixed blessing as it has introduced children to sex and violence, which negatively affects their values. Values are concepts that society considers acceptable. While most individuals might agree with this concept, I find myself conflicted as I believe in choices and opinions. What one person finds acceptable might not be favorable to another person. I suggest that the concept of values is relative, differing from one individual to another. Therefore negative and positive values differ according to one's perspective.
Milton Rokeach's Theory about the terminal and instrumental values had the most impact on my knowledge. I have understood that terminal values are the most central in a human's life, and they often have an end. On the other hand, instrumental values are a means to an end. For one to achieve terminal values, they need to possess an instrumental value; I believe that is their relationship.

I was surprised to learn about the difference between the American and Japanese beliefs concerning values. Most values associated with Americans are centered on individualism, while the Japanese believe in collective values, except interest, which is more of an individual value.
