Numerous factors lead to effective teams in the organization. However, the most important factor that determines the degree of success includes communication and coordination of functions among the team members. Communication is essential in any organization with multidisciplinary teams. There should be frequent communication among the team members to achieve the collective organization's objectives. Communication serves as the tool for exchanging ideas among the crew members. Through brainstorming, new challenges are identified as well as possible solutions presented. 

Conflict resolution strategy is the other factor that influences the success of a team. There are numerous ways of solving conflicts in an organization. These methods include compromising, collaborating, or cooperation. Successful teams should aim at win-win situations whenever there is an impasse. However, there are a few cases in which one party needs to compromise their standpoints especially when they are on the wrong side. The team leader should serve as a unifying agent in the team. As such, the leader should identify and solve the conflicts within their team members. Some organizations believe that avoiding disputes is a viable technique for improving the team spirit. However, it is essential for the team members to acknowledge their differences and learn to accommodate each other. Through conflict resolution, the team becomes stronger and productive.

The key factors that impacted my team’s effectiveness include frequent communication, use of collaborative techniques of conflict resolution and the application of transformational leadership. The area of team improvement consists of the use of coaching and inspirations to motivate the team members to achieve the organization’s objectives. The advantage of group decision making is that it increases the level of team satisfaction as they are considered in decision making. As such, the morale of the employees improves through group decision making. The flipside of group decision making is that it is time-consuming and expensive.
