The known information regarding the crash of Peak 1680 that was gathered from the scene of the accident is that the majority of the parts of the aircraft were consolidated in a localized area and were around the final crashing point of the main fuselage. The nose landing gear was detached from the airplane's fuselage and was about sixty meters away. Furthermore, the plane's right engine was found to be still attached as opposed to the left that had fallen close to the wings of the plane close to the left landing gear that was twenty meters away. 

Considering the data acquired from the accident's site, it would be concluded that the plane in question was attempting to approach runway four, which was clear for landing. However, Peak Airline Flight 1680 made contact with the terrain at the edge of the runway in question. From the gathered evidence, there was low visibility, strong wind, and heavy rainfall. Furthermore, these weather conditions resulted in the main landing gear striking the terrain faster than recommended. The landing force resulted in tearing apart the main landing gear from the main fuselage before the plane slid down the slope. Besides, along the slope as the craft slid, the left and the right main landing gears were also reaped off the aircraft. As the aircraft slid down the slope, it struck the approach lights that prompted the destruction of the forward section of the fuselage that includes the cockpit and the forward cabin area alongside the number one engine and the left wing to depart from the aircraft. The left wing rested between the main section and the forward section of the fuselage.

Notably, gathering information would be done through the four Ps, including physical, people, photographic, and paper. Firstly, the information would be gathered from the eye witness accounts by interviewing any witnesses at the crash scene and around the area of the crash. The physical aspect of gathering data would involve retrieving information from the aircraft's Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), Air Traffic Control (ATC), as well as the Flight Data Recorder (FDR). The data gained from the CVR, ATC, and FDR would help the reacting aircraft behavior immediately before the crash, any kinds of malfunctions in the aircraft's equipment. For instance, in the crash of 1680, data from these gadgets indicated that the aircraft descended at high speed. The pilot made the poor decision of braking on the slippery runway, which played a role in the catastrophe. Besides, photographs can be analyzed to provide relevant information concerning the accident. 

Various potential methods would be used in the analysis of retrieved data. One of the methods through which data would be analyzed is by considering the nature of the incident. The other data analysis method that would be used is the descriptive statistical method that would help summarize the acquired information. Furthermore, the inferential method of data analysis would also be essential in concluding the information collected concerning the accident. The mentioned methods would be vital in identifying causal factors and the determination of the sequence of the accident. The primary causal factor in this accident was the weather condition. There was heavy rain that made the runway slippery. There was a cloud that significantly resulted in low visual capabilities, and there was a strong wind. The second factor was the pilot's errors because the pilot descended at a high rate without surety of where the runway was and failed to stop descending when instructed. One of the corrective actions is to avoid flying in low visibility and harsh weather. Also, the pilots should think through their plans when under pressure or when something goes wrong. For instance, it was a wrong decision, braking on a slippery runway.
