Locations
Nissan Motor Corporation will launch the new Nissan Z Proto during the annual trade show, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) organizes the CES trade show, which will take place from 11 January to 14 January 2021 (“CES 2021 is All Digital,” 2020). The event will take place at booth 6306 in the North Hall of Las Vegas Convention Center. Also, there will be exhibitors, thought leaders, media companies, and customers from different parts of the world. Nissan Motor Corporation will use this opportunity to showcase the usability and performance of Nissan Z Proto—a sports car that gives customers a powerful and exhilarating experience.
Invitations
Nissan Motor Corporation will send invitations to customers to ensure that the event is a success. The public relations and communications department will send handwritten notes to the existing loyal customers. Handwritten notes are rare but impactful means of communication. The letters will be conversational; they will express the company’s appreciation for the clients’ patronage and excitement for the upcoming event. A typical template will be in the following format, “Hello (attendee’s name), thanks for being part of the Nissan family for all these years! As one of our VIP customers, we would like to invite you to the CES trade show on January 11, 2021. We will be showcasing the new Nissan Z Proto!” The notes will be sent to customers ten days before the event, and there will be a VIP pass to allow customers to test drive the Nissan Z Proto. Other invitations will be sent via geofencing—a location-based targeting technology. A recent study revealed that the average American checks their phone every twelve minutes (SWNS, 2017). Nissan Corporation will create a networking zone around Las Vegas and send messages to potential trade show attendees. The company will also use social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to promote the trade showcasing the behind-the-scenes videos of the event and responding to their queries.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Planning and Hosting
Planning and hosting processes will go through different stages. Since the CES trade show occurs from January 11 to January 14, Nissan Motor Corporation will reach out to the organizers a month before the event requesting them to showcase the new Nissan Z Proto during the evenings. At this time, most people are done with their day jobs. Mid-January is the best time to plan for the event since the weather is mild, and some people may still be on vacation. The next step will be the budgeting process. Nissan Motor Corporation expects to spend about $2 million on this project. The new Nissan Z Proto costs about $36000 ( ”50 Years of Exhilaration,” 2020 ). Additional costs will include venue rental, ticket sales, insurance, entertainment, and flyers. Insurance is vital in case cars, drivers, or onlookers may incur damage. Celebrity attendance and disc jockey (DJ) services will cost Nissan approximately $300000. Nissan Motor Corporation will also partner with leading television and radio stations in the US and advertise the event on YouTube for a month to increase the chances of success. Three weeks before the event, Nissan Motor Corporation will pay for adverts in leading newspapers, such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times . The flyers will contain the name of the event, date, location, and time. It will also highlight the car that Nissan will showcase, entry fees, and registration instructions. These flyers will be issued in the Nevada community. Nissan Motor Corporation will also collaborate with vendors to provide food, drinks, and administer free merchandise. There will be a Nissan truck outside the venue that will be selling ice cream to the attendees.
Facilities
Nissan Motor Corporation will also ensure that the guests have access to the necessary facilities. The management will assign the employees at the CES avenue entrance to guide the guests into the required location and advise them about the seating arrangement. There will also be a check-in process for car owners. The marketing department will assign its twenty employees to interact briefly with the customers upon arrival at the event. Each employee will be given a yellow shirt and black trousers to match the new Nissan Z Proto's colors. These employees will provide the guests with the leaflets that highlight the exhibits, vendors, and restrooms. Nissan Corporation will also put ten employees in strategic locations to control human traffic. These employees will ensure that meals are served before and after the event ends.
Timeline
There will be a detailed timeline to ensure the activities follow the plan. Nissan Corporation will showcase the new Nissan Z Proto from 6:30 P.M. The master of ceremony will announce Nissan’s upcoming exhibit at 5:00 P.M. There will be a 30-minute break to give the attendees adequate time to take their meals and interact and visit the restrooms before the event starts. Once the attendees are seated, the master of ceremony will announce the officials, guests, and celebrities in attendance. The master of ceremony will invite the chief executive officer Makoto Uchida to highlight the Nissan Z Proto's unique features. His speech will take place between 7:30 P.M to 8:30 P.M. The next speaker will be Takeshi Yamaguchi, the corporate vice president in charge of customer performance and test engineering. Yamaguchi will speak from 9:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. He will describe the customer experience and preview a test drive video on the screen to highlight the Nissan Z Proto's performance. Lewis Hamilton will be one of the celebrities who describe how the Nissan Z Proto matches a sports car's description. He will speak for 20 minutes. Ariana Grande, a pop singer, will also be in attendance. She will talk about the interior design of the Nissan Z Proto from 10:00 P.M. to 10:20 P.M. After the celebrities have spoken, Alfonso Albaisa, the senior vice president of global design, will talk about innovation, design, and Japanese hospitality for 15 minutes. The speeches will end by 11:15 P.M.
Announcements
For the next 30 minutes, Nissan Corporation issue announcements about the upcoming car models. Abhishek Mahapatra, the general manager in charge of communications, will announce that the Nissan Z Proto will be available in the market. He will briefly highlight the 2021 Nissan Altima and Nissan Maxima ( Rattery et al. , 2020). The event is expected to end at 12:15 A.M. Nissan’s employees will guide the attendees at the exit locations.
Contingency Plan
In case the event does not go as planned, there will be a contingency plan. If the event starts after 8:00 P.M., some speakers will not have a chance to present their speeches. Only the master of ceremony, the senior vice president of global design, and the chief executive officer will speak. Each of them will require 30 minutes to discuss the features and performance of the Nissan Z Proto. This approach will ensure that the attendees are not bored or tired. The celebrities in attendance may not have a chance to speak, but the chief executive officer will briefly introduce them. Suppose most customers fail to arrive at the venue on time, the master of ceremony will allow a 45-minute waiting period. During this time, a disc jockey (DJ) will entertain the crowd. Regardless of the inconveniences that may occur, the event will not go beyond 1:00 A.M.
Press Release
Nissan Motor Corporation is giving the attendees at the annual CES trade show an opportunity to experience a new generation of the Z sports car, the Z Proto. The exhibition will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees will have an opportunity to preview the prototype features and design, including the V-6 twin-turbocharged engine using a manual transmission system (Okuda, 2020). Nissan Z Proto pays homage to the fifty years of Z heritage. Nevertheless, it is a well-designed modern sports car.
At the CES trade show, attendees will understand how the Nissan Z Proto embodies Nissan's spirit. It serves as guidance for Nissan’s transformation plan and proves its ability to do what other automobile companies have failed to achieve. We want to invite the global community of young and older adults to attend one of the most exciting shows of 2021.
We wanted to develop a car whose design links the past to the future. Nissan Z Proto elicits a fresh and attractive exterior design whose silhouette embodies the original model. It has bright yellow pearlescent paint, which serves as a tribute to the first generation Z and the 300ZX (Okuda, 2020). This vehicle has a retro theme, but it projects futurism. Its interior design appeals to comfort and has a touch vintage Z model.
Nissan Motor Corporation is looking forward to attracting car enthusiasts, current and new customers, and guests in the automobile industry. Nissan Z Proto is a dynamic performer and tailored to every customer’s needs. This car is a product of our passion innovate and challenge the norms. We are hoping that drivers will share our excitement upon the launch of the Nissan Z Proto.
