Code of ethics is described as guidelines or principles that are set to help professionals conduct their daily activities with integrity and honesty. These principles outline the values of an organization as well as their values. Professionals should uniquely approach their problems. The organization's members create the ethical guidelines of a profession. These values are core to specific professionalism and might not apply to other professions (Manual, 2015) . Therefore business ethics has to address social responsibilities, environmental issues as well as discrimination. Another vital part that has to be addressed by business ethics is the employees' relation.

‘ Code of Ethics of the Academy of Criminal Justice Science' (ACJS) has been organized into three vital areas that are the general principles that apply to everybody, the standards that apply to specific responsibilities and finally, what policies should be followed (Academy of Criminal Justice Science, n.d.). These policies are followed during the enforcement of the principles and the rules. Members of the academy are committed to the well-being of the entire society. The members are also concern with other individuals and groups that exists within them.

There is research that was conducted by members of the academy. Their objectives were to find out more on the objectivity of members and the integrity of the members toward their conduct of criminal justice. Members will need to follow the highest level of technical standards. Research requires a good standard for quality results (Rogers, 2017). When shallow research is conducted, it will be unethical as they will have wasted academy resource. The research team has decided to research on an individual level. This method has got its disadvantages on the findings that will be generated. Different people have different approaches and strategy. Therefore it will be unethical to rule out what the other person has done. Integrity allows people to respect and acknowledge what the other person has done.

During the presentation of research findings, there should be transparency. Let the team present a full report on what they collected in the field. It is non-ethical to omit a section of the report due to personal reasons. If a member decides to misinterpret the information to favor them, it will be against the ethical code of conduct (Banks, 2018). Members are required to indicate all sources they used during their research process. Failure to acknowledge them will be treated as plagiarism which is a crime. The sponsors should be appreciated for their support towards the results. It will be entirely out of order not to acknowledge those who played a role in the success of the team.

During the documentation of the research analysis, proper citations are required. This will help people to justify the sources used. The citations should relevant and related to the topic of discussion (Academy of Criminal Justice Science, n.d.). Any grants or contracts that violate the principles of the academy should not be accepted. Such agreements might end up breaking the policy which the organization is there to follow. There should be the drive to complete accepted proposals on time. Giving up should not be the case. During the project members should respect the division of labor. Each person should finish their part of the research. Academy members are allowed to distribute the results they have collected. When the results are going to cause harm to a client, then this should be withheld (Maxfield, 2015). For example, when investigating a murder, the research team should be careful about how they present the result to the family.

During the research, some people are interviewed and questioned. The subject's confidentiality has to be observed. As a researcher one should follow and consider social norm during the collection of data. Complying with the institutional and federal requirements for the research is mandatory.
