On the April, 5, 2018, there was also the celebration of the Ching Ming festival which is also known as the Tomb-Sweeping Day. This festival has been observed in China for the last 2500 years. In the mainland China, this celebration day has been declared a public holiday in 2008. In Taiwan, the celebration is also observed on 5, May each year. It is a day that is meant to honor the death of Chiang-Kai-Shek who died in the year 1975 (Xu et al. 2018). In the Taiwan mainland, the festival stopped to be observed because Chiang’s party is out of power and the day was turned for consumption of qingtuan, barley rice and glutinous rice and this how they celebrate the day in Taiwan.

On the 6, April, 2018, the tension between Beijing and Washington grew worse as the airline websites were pulled down by China and the customers were all required to click on the departure and the arrival time. The United States government accused the Chinese government of being responsible for the “Orwellian nonsense” and it directed the airline companies to refer to Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong as separate countries (Xu et al. 2018). The foreign affairs minister disregarded to announcements and said that the United States cannot direct them and there is only one china with Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong as part of the Chinese empire.
