Neoconservatism and Neoliberalism is a duo standing political logic in the contemporary America, they are known for the parallel traits and contradictory aspects (Brown, 2006). However, the main convergence point is on the de-democratization effects. They devalue liberty, equity, citizenship and further respect the rule of law to favour governance from a marketing dimension. Additionally, the two logics have shown symbiotic relations to work towards accountability of political systems.

The democratic theory is widely adopted in private and public institutions. People both in public and private sectors are freely allowed air their opinions about the governance and government structure; it subsequently allows deliberative debates, participation as well as the ability to choose their leaders void of intimidations. As such through the democratic theory of governance, people feel empowered enough to talk about the ills of their societies without the fear of intimidation. Democratic theory has allowed for independent institutions such as constitutional bodies and the judiciary that preside over matters that cannot be solved politically, it calls for adherence of the decree of law and punishment of the offenders, all these are moves that aim to keep sanity within the societies. The Democratic theory further pushes governance structure to ensure that people are given fair representation in the places of leadership, women are empowered as well as equitable sharing of the natural resource endowment.
