Introduction of Designer Kelly Wearstler

Kelly Wearstler is a well-known interior designer born on 21st November 1967 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA. She is an American citizen with a North American ethnicity. During the mid-1990s, Kelly Wearstler founded a firm known as Kelly Wearstler Interior Design, which gave her a good reputation in California.  The New Yorker  by then dubbed her "the presiding grand dame of West Coast interior design," Wearstler has been a successful designer who has done commendable design projects for her clients in America and outside the US (Wearstler 2021). Besides, she has been featured as a judge on the real contest film  "Bravo's Top Design"  between 2007 and 2008.

Wearstler was raised in Myrtle Beach by both her parents; the father was an engineer while her mother was an antique trader. The interior designer credits her mother as one of the persons who natured her interest in interior design since she also had an interest in design. Wearstler reveals that she came home from school most of the time and found all the walls painted in colorful styles by her mother. Her eponymous extravagant lifestyle with a home full of sparkling walls, furniture, and best lighting decorations describes her advanced skills in interior design. Currently, Wearstler works at the Proper Hotel Group as an interior designer, designing all the interiors within the hotel. Besides, she works in Harrods for her exclusive $800 million revamps. She recently launched another firm known as Bridal Registry, where she features all designer products needed for homes.

Kelly is fond of traveling and adventuring to new places, which has boosted her inspiration from the encounter with art, crafts, architecture, music, fresh air, and foods. She says that Spain is outstanding for its "reverence for the past and a strong feeling of future" (Masterclass, 2021). Wearstler also reveals that France, Texas, Tokyo, New York, and Los Angeles are other inspiring places she visited full of arts and design. Kelly Wearstler has been successful in her design career and has served in various positions. Wearstler's first career was as a hotel waitress. Along with Kelly's education, she also worked as an intern in designing. While in her 20s, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she was employed as a set director in movies. Later, she got a job as a production assistant on  HouseSitter in 1992.   She also worked alongside other designers in the  Playboy  release. In 1995, she founded one of her significant businesses known as Kelly Wearstler Interior Design. The firm did so well in the 90s and earned her a good reputation. Later, in 2002, Kelly Wearstler designed one of the best hotels in the USA, known as a three-star hotel in Beverly Hills.

She also designed Viceroy Hotels and Resorts, BG Restaurant, located in Manhattan, The Tides Hotel South Beach found in Miami, and Hard Rock Hotel in Los Angeles. She has also written several books, such as Modern Glamour: The Art of Unexpected Style and Rhapsody , in 2004 and 2012, respectively. Later in 2007, Kelly Wearstler founded a retail boutique that exclusively dealt with home furnishing (Wearstler 2021). The show showed positive progress in the following year by adding scarves, jewellery, belts, and bags to her boutique business. The interior designer is also remarkable in designing celebrity homes such as Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani. 

Kelly Wearstler studied at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and specialized in architecture. She later graduated from the college with a bachelor's degree in graphic and interior design. While still at college, she worked as an intern at Cambridge Seven Associates and Milton Glaser in Boston and New York, respectively.
