Therefore, people are likely to gain excessive weight as a result of taking large quantities of proteins. If the consumption of protein is extended for a long period, then the affected individual may become obese. There are numerous infections which develop as a result of obesity ( Whitney and Rolfes, 2018) . These infections include high blood pressure, cardiac arrest, and cancer. Obesity usually occurs when proteins replace carbohydrates in the body.

Excessive proteins lead to the ketosis metabolic state that results in the production of unpleasant smell. Therefore, bad breath may be caused by excessive proteins. The likelihood of having the lousy breadth increases as an individual restricts their carbohydrates intake. In such cases, conventional brushing of teeth can’t eliminate the unpleasant smell ( Whitney and Rolfes, 2018) . The only remedy for the complication is to reduce proteins consumptions, increase water intake, and chew gums to reduce the odor ( Whitney and Rolfes, 2018) .

The low fiber in the body leads to constipation. People who are intolerant to lactose may also experience diarrhea which may lead to dehydration.
