Having a job resume takes an individual into the interview process. However, various types of interviews are conducted depending on the kind of job one is applying for. All the interviews serve a similar purpose of enabling the interviewers to analyze an individual's knowledge, education, skills, characters, and experience to determine if one is suitable for a particular position. In some organizations, they assess an individual's ability to handle certain job conditions, leadership skills, problem-solving techniques, and customer service. There are various types of interviews; for instance, phone interviews are used when the human resource departments want to determine a person would fit in an organization’s culture and whether one has the qualifications, knowledge, and experience for the job. A face-to-face interview is another type of interview whereby the interviewer wants to determine if the interviewee can fit within their organization and mostly ask questions regarding the interviewee's listed experience and skills. On such as interview, an individual should develop a rapport with the interviewers and market him/herself and ways that one can contribute towards the organizational development.

A committee interview is another type of interview; it involves a panel of decision-makers to provide efficiency and have various opinions for the same answer. Besides, there are behavioral interviews, which provide the interviewers with necessary information about how an individual thinks and behaves in a certain condition. They help them understand people, like those applying for positions like management, can respond to challenging situations within an organization (LeBow College of Business, 2021) . Also, the interviewers can conduct lunch interviews when they want to assess an individual's table manners, interpersonal skills, communication and social skills, and etiquette. Additionally, an organization may opt to use the web conferencing interview when they want to interview an individual far away and wants to save on certain expenses like traveling. Companies use tools like a webcam to connect to people in remote places or at their homes. Similarly, an organization can conduct stress interviews to determine an individual would respond to stressful conditions within the organization and pressures. In other words, interviews allow people and employers to determine how individual skills align with the organization's requirements.
