Diversity is a major issue that focuses on differences and similalities between employees in an organization. Indeed, diversity involves various aspects that are beyond the non-discrimination statutes and the affirmative acrtions that are specified legally. In addition to the diversity in an organization, the human resource managers are frequently exposed to employees issues that may have legal implication for the company (Orfield & Whitla,2013). Therefore, diversity and legal issues go hand in hand for the efficient operation of an organization.

The human resource managers in an unionized organization need to know the benefits of implementing diversity in an organization. Additionally, managers also need to know the importance of considering legal issues in an unionized organization. Firstly, compliance with business laws and regulations reduces the legal problems which include the risk of penalties, fines lawsuits and shutdown of the organization. Moreover, compliance with the legal issues improves the organizational operation, for example, rules regarding harassment and discrimination help to establish a favorable working environment for the employees in an organization (Orfield & Whitla,2013). Indeed, considering the legal issues in an organization create better public relation, and this can be a marketing material to attract more customer and resourceful employees in an unionized organization

As a matter of facts, knowing the above benefits of implementing diversity in an unionized organization and the importance of legal issues consideration would help me to conduct a training session for other managers.
