According to Merriam-Webster (2020), anarchism is a form of political theory that terms all forms of the government as undesirable and unnecessary. It advocates the community based on free association and voluntary cooperation of individuals and groups. Anarchism is most often described alongside libertarian Marxism of socialist movement having a historical association with socialism and anti-capitalism. Anarchism history goes way back to a period in which humans lived in anarchistic societies before establishing the normal states, empires, or realms. For anarchism to meet its ideal ends, it employs various tactics classified into evolutionary and revolutionary tactics. In the current and the last decades of the previous century, the anarchist movement striving for anarchism form of governance has been revived once again.

Given our global connectedness and considering the technological advancement of society, we still need the government. The government is still needed to formulate laws to govern society. Without the government's backing to enforce the laws, no one would strictly follow the social laws. If society assumes that role, lives will become more difficult as they might evoke wars amongst themselves. The abolition of the government means that there is nobody to formulate and enforce the land laws, hence resulting in multiple problems such as wars.

In the 21st century, the government is still needed to establish new infrastructure and other new facilities to attract new investors globally. The establishment of new infrastructure by the government will encourage foreign investment in the country. These investments range from effective and fair conflict resolution systems to the provision of clean water and electricity. Without the government, new infrastructures would not be established hence contributing to increased levels of poverty and wars in the country.

The government is still required in the 21st century to reduce the financial crisis and, more so, influence the country's transparency in global financial institutions. In the current century, the government has a role in reducing the risks of moral hazards and ensuring adequate regulation and supervision of financial markets (Beuselinck et al., 2017). With the abolition of the government, the country will greatly suffer from moral hazards and inadequate supervision country’s financial markets. Furthermore, the government is still needed because of its historical role in enhancing idea development. The government normally established bigger projects that no individual wealthy could comfortably undertake. These big projects are meant to enhance the forward progression of the country.

If we are not ready for anarchy, globalization and technology will not free us from the government's need. The government is still needed to promote democracy because globalization and technological advancement are an attack on democracy. Globalization and the technological advancement of recent decades have not been a democratic choice worldwide (Burlacu, Gutu & Matei, 2018). The process of globalization and technological advancement is business-driven with business tactics and strategies and for business ends. The government is needed to help in discussing where the entire process of globalization and technological advancement is taking the community.

Globalization and technological advancements will also not set us free from the government's need because it may lead to economic failure. The economic failure of technology and globalization is contributed by the fact that it is engineered by the corporate elites serving only their interests. Globalization and technology have been marked by considerable declines in productivity rates, growth of investment, and financial mobility. The government should not be abolished to address the enormous failures of globalization and technology.
