Impact of the Readings
The readings allowed me to understand and appreciate the different approaches Stakeholders follow when it comes to achieving positive social change in the society. In the case of Walden University (2020), for example, the focus has been on giving diverse communities of professionals the chance to transform their lives and communities through academic methods. The university undertakes deliberate processes that allow them to create ideas and strategies that will promote the self-worth of individuals while also improving the wellbeing and dignity of communities, institutions, and societies. At the same time, some institutions use research to study the various issues affecting communities and make proposals that will improve the wellbeing of individuals, their families and the society at large. (Kezar, 2014) In the cases of business enterprises, positive social change has been achieved through corporate social responsibility (Aguinis & Glavas, 2012). In this case, the focus is on undertaking activities that solves some of the major social issues that may affect the wellbeing of members of a given group or community.
