Determine whether the current organizational structure at Domino’s is a good match for its corporate strategies. Explain your rationale.
Domino’s organizational structure matches its corporate strategies. Domino’s corporate strategy is in three major aspects: an international business reinvented products and better marketing. Domino has several stores in different countries in the world making it the largest in the pizza chain trade. Dominos reinvented its product to improve their quality including having a new pizza recipe and introducing other dishes such as its sandwiches, pasta, and chicken. Finally, Dominos boasts of a very efficient marketing system which offers efficient delivery through technology (Lutz, 2015). Its organizational structure is a hierarchical structure with the president. The president is the top-ranked leader on the hierarchy whose main headquarter is located in the US. The hierarchy goes on with other senior management principals and several junior staff positions (Arbor, 2014). The hierarchical structure enables specialization in the line of duty ensuring efficient delivery towards the corporate strategy hence a good match.

Evaluate alternative structures to determine which one would be most appropriate for Domino's to consider and discuss likely benefits Domino’s would realize from adopting that structure. Provide specific examples to support your response.
The three most important forms of administrative structures are matrix, divisional and functional. The functional structure groups parts of the organization according to the objective of the organization. For instance, departments are grouped based on the core activities of the organization such as production, marketing and sales departments. The divisional structure is applicable to larger companies with stores in different geographic areas. It divides the organization in regard to the boundaries or the different type of products by the enterprise. The matrix structure is a combination of functional and divisional structures (Writing). Domino's is a large organization in the food business focusing on a few delicacies. A combination of functional and divisional organizational structures would be appropriate for Dominos hence the preference of the matrix structure. The divisional aspects will help quickly meet demands to specifications while the functional aspect will contribute to utilize the best skills of its workers to achieve quality.
