A dedicated fundraising system incorporates different types of reports among them are problem-solving, score keeping and attention directing. A system that tracks the concentration of the donor while making follow-ups is desired if a successful campaign is to me maintained. Having a good tracking system will assist in establishing long-term relationships with potential donors and determining the trends (Weinstein, 2013).

The best option to use is a mass mail system. Such a system is easy to use because it incorporates expert advice with real email creation tools. Similarly, it has different templates that offer the possibility of testing own creation. A mass mail system can also help in segmenting the potential donor database while providing expanded reporting (Weinstein, 2013).

It is critical to record the activities of each donor and make notes concerning a prospective donor response. Similarly, it is possible to track the invitees and those who managed to attend. Additionally, it is possible to record donor history and information. Having a system with such capabilities makes it possible to maintain a healthy working relationship with potential and existing donors (Weinstein, 2013).

The potential donors for athletic department, team or school are businesses/ corporations and foundations. The former are suited for campaigns that attract publicity and good public relations. Different firms have social responsibility programs they use to give back to the society while at the same time creating awareness of their products and services. Foundations pursue specific goals that they were established to undertake. It is possible to identify a foundation that supports initiative taken by the team or school. Such foundations will support the activities of the group as long as they are within their mandate (Weinstein, 2013).
