The hypothesis for my assigned research topic will be this: High temperature increases people’s aggression. This hypothesis is based on the view that high temperature increases psychological stress, which contributes to aggressive behavior. Further, it is assumed that the psychological stress experienced makes individuals want to cause physical and mental harm to others when provoked. The aim of the planned study will be to establish the existing correlation between temperature and aggressive behavior. This aim will be used to guide all the decisions that will be made when carrying out the study. Simply put, the aim of the study will provide direction for the study.

The study’s Independent variables will be heat. When researching on the assigned topic, different case studies will be reviewed to determine how participants in the experiments that were conducted behaved when subjected to hot temperature. The guess that is yet to be approved or disapproved is the opinion that participants in most of the experiments conducted showed increased aggression when subjected to high temperature. Should this guess be the case, the formulated hypothesis will be confirmed to be true. The study’s hypothesis will be rejected if it will be determined that high temperature contributed to little or no aggressive behavior.
