Within the work environment, democratic leadership actively includes employees in the process of making organizational decisions (Webster, 2017). One such organization is Facebook. Leaders inspire their staff by implementing incentives, setting goals, and offering opportunities for professional and personal growth. Mark Zuckerberg represents the personality of this kind of leader. Mark Zuckerberg is currently among the youngest billionaire in the world and CEO/ Chairman of Facebook the world's most admired social website (Walter, 2014). According to Walter (2014), Zuckerberg is identified to possess a goal-oriented state of mind and he is completely focused on leading his team to create the top social media stage in the universe.
While a democratic leader has the final say and keeps control of the process of making decision, the employees are allowed to voice their opinion, which influences the decision-making process (Webster, 2017). Zuckerberg has built a great connection between his employees and him as the leader in that at the organization's headquarters in Menlo Park, California, Each Friday, the company has a question and answer session for the users and employees (Smith, 2013).

Among the more effective styles of leadership, democratic leadership inspires collaboration within the work environment and provides the employees with an active voice in the process of making decisions (Webster, 2017). This kind of leadership style inspires cooperation between the workers making them more effective. Democratic leadership invites employees to debate various factors, which will affect a specific decision. For this reason, employees will have a good understanding concerning the reasoning that has led to a decision being made (Webster, 2017) . When a subordinate believes that his or her opinion matters, he or she is likely to be dedicated to the ultimate decision, which the managers make even if he or she does not totally agree with the decision.
