Mission statement and core values are critical aspects of any organization’s strategy to achieve success through meeting or exceeding the set goals and standards. Well defined mission statement and core values undoubtedly enhance efficiency, quality, possibility, and potential for success, engagement from all stakeholders, ethical standards, and discipline ( Braun, Wesche, Frey, Weisweiler & Peus, 2015) . The objective of this essay is to describe Emory University Healthcare’s institutional business plan, purpose, and values. 

The Emory University Healthcare’s business plan focuses on developing patient-focused centers in the lung, cancer, cardiovascular, transplant, and neuroscience with the goal of positioning the firm to be a leader in each of these areas. The organization focuses on strengthening safety and quality programs based on outcome measures and establish enterprise-wide predictive and global health programs (Cassels & Capers, 2017) . The other business plan is to implement a master facility plan to include research, Clifton corridor, and academic building as well as ensure the firm’s operating units create and implement unit-specific strategic plans and maintain alignment with its strategic vision.

The purpose is characterized by inter-professional and integrated care teams providing seamless and patient-centred care through integration of new approaches to healing, nursing, and public health (Cassels & Capers, 2017) . The organization differentiates its services from competitors through prevention and regenerative care facilitated by discoveries in genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, system biology, pharmaco-genomics, and epidemiology among others. The organization’s health professional training and education programs reflect and inform an interdisciplinary convergence of clinical programs and research. 

Emory University Healthcare's values include value, integrity, excellence, and caring. The firm creates value for communities it serves such as students, patients, faculty, employees, and payers by providing quality outcomes and experience relative to costs (Emory Healthcare Inc., 2019) . The organization ensures integrity by upholding high ethical standards and honoring its commitments. The firm ensures excellence by dedicating to continued innovation in all its activities. The organization achieve the value of caring by demonstrating compassion and concern customers and treating individuals with dignity.
