Leadership plays a big role in the formation of a high-functioning team, as it offers the ability to establish work effectiveness in an organization. Through leadership, the organization can be build up to encompass the following competencies; enhanced collective understanding of a team, ensuring the team is equipped with sufficient knowledge, and enabled operational interaction ( Northouse, 2018) . There are further essential things to consider such as essential aims and components of effective leadership.

Furthermore, a leader needs to consider the effectiveness of the team. As suggested by Boies, Fiset, and Gill, (2015) , the key components of a high-functioning team are; successful recognition of various communication styles, performance styles, and talents of the members. Furthermore, there is the facilitation of a free sharing of ideas platform, teamwork, and letting the team members perform their duties right as intended.
According to Dinh et al., (2014), there are three trends that shape the whole society of leadership. First, the fact that leadership is inclining to be a scarce resource, and thus organizations tend to face a challenge of its shortage in future. Second, more workers tend to look for leadership development, and yet other institutions are marked with the reduced amount of leadership commitment. Third, there is the catastrophe of rising workers’ disconnection.
In conclusion, it should be considered that leadership offers the ability to establish work effectiveness in an organization. A leader has a greater impact on a team’s performance and the team should always seek assistance to guarantee organizational success. With the key takeaways from the class, I am planning to focus on facilitating good comprehension of leadership skills, that steers effective interaction, and transform oversight.
