Ethical Issues in Counseling Task 1
An internet policy helps in the provision of rules and guidelines on the correct usage of equipment, the internet, as well as, the network. Such a system plays a significant role in the protection of both the employee and an organization. Moreover, the system requires signing by all the workers once they start their duties in any company. An example of a computer and internet use policy states that most of the employees of an organization should use the internet in a responsible manner (Smith& Okech, 2016). Moreover, the access to the web is limited to some of the job-related activities hence the personal use is not recommended. Another policy claims that any of the e-mails that have been sent using the email system of a company should not be offensive. In case any of the downloads noted in a company is proved to be harmful; the company management has the right to block it. The computer and internet policy of any organization prohibit the installation of software that could include instant messaging technology.
The monitoring of the usage of equipment is useful in the prevention of software piracy in the duties. Theft in an organization leads to the introduction of both the infrastructure and security concerns. Therefore, the computer and internet usage policy are critical in the prevention of piracy in an organization. A web system helps in the prevention of illegal downloads and various other activities. Some of the technologies in an organization could lead to the download of copyrights that is a punishable offense by the government of any country. Some of the factors that should be considered when creating a computer and internet policy are the organizational objectives and purposes and the reasons for the web installation in an organization. When considering the factors mentioned above, the use of the computers and the internet will be regulated and controllable as well.

A computer and internet use policy are critical since most of the employees are paid for their times at work. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that they complete their duties during practice time. Thus, this is one of the most important reasons as to why a computer and internet policy is necessary for workplaces. According to research conducted by Mullen, Lambie, & Conley, (2014), most of the employees admitted to using Facebook during the work hours and the result would be detrimental to workplaces.
Task 2
The first step in the decision-making process is the identification of a problem. In this process, one should gather information that is likely to eliminate the situation. The process is critical in the decision-making process since it helps in identifying the issue. Some of the several questions that one can ask are of its ethical. The second step in the making decisions process is the application of the code of ethics. After an issue has been identified in an organization, it is critical to view if the problem is stated in the in the code of ethics.
In the case whereby a problem is new, the problem thus becomes an ethical dilemma that requires the determination of the nature of the moral dilemma by the consideration of the various principles of autonomy (Wasson et al., 2016). The fourth step in the decision-making process helps in the generation of potential actions. In this case, one requires brainstorming on the possible actions as possible that require creativity. For any course of action that has been identified, it is critical to determine any potential consequences to get prepared. The last process includes the implementation of the desired course of action. In this step-by-step process of decision-making processes, the ethical decision-making process is likely to be achieved in an advantageous manner.
