One of the major nursing practice-related issues is workplace hazards. Nurses encounter a range of workplace hazards, including exposure to chemicals, radiation exposure, latex allergy, infectious diseases, workplace violence, stress, victimization, sexual harassment, and dermatitis, which result from hand hygiene ( Walton & Rogers, 2017) . It is crucial to create a safe and secure work environment in the nursing field to prevent or minimize these hazards.

The safety of nurses from workplace hazards is vital to both nurses and patients. Failure to keep nurses safe from workplace hazards may directly impact patient care. When nurses are safe on the job, well-rested and healthy, they have more job- and life-satisfaction overall, and this, in turn, influences patient outcomes as well as the quality of care ( Walton & Rogers, 2017) . The availability of healthy and well-rested nurses is essential to providing emphatic care, vigorous advocacy, and vigilant monitoring.

According to Sipes & Hardy (2019) , every day, nurses face various ethical, legal, and regulatory issues in their work. These challenging dilemmas may relate to nursing practices, medical treatments, workplace hazards, healthcare facility management, and other issues that emerge in the nursing field. The ethical, legal and regulatory problems which arise in the nursing practice may require immediate considerations and response like making decisions for patients when they are unable to do so or may involve a lengthy, carefully considered decision like to perform assisted suicide.

Nurses face the ethical challenge of deciding the patients that should get treatment and those which they will simply make comfortable. Nurses also have to make decisions when the legal and regulatory implications of their decisions are uncertain, and authorities differ in their views as to what comprises an ethical decision in a specific situation ( Sipes & Hardy, 2019) . Overall, some of the key ethical, legal, and regulatory challenges which nurses face today are patient confidentiality and safety, disease transmissions, end-of-life issues, relationships, dealing with workplace conflict, the proper use of social media in connection to their workplace, and coping with shortages in staff.
