The world politics has been affected by the expanding technology and military force. The supremacy of the governments and their structures is not only measured using the economic prowess but also the complexity of their military. The adoption of technology in the armed forces hardware and operations has made warfare an efficient engagement while at the same time intensifying the destructive power that can result from the application of technology.
The countries that enjoy the global influence for having strong military forces and equipment have been key decision makers in security matters. The United States has been recognized as having the most sophisticated military force(Keohane, 2008).The availability of technology has resulted in the other countries such as a China, Russia, Brazil, India, and North Korea among others to exploit the different innovations to engage in a frantic race for sophistication (Goodin, 2009). For this reason, there has been a growing tension among various countries such as the United States, China, and North Korea which is founded on the assumed military strength. Due to the improved technology of military application and warfare, North Korea has been bold to defy security regulations, and this has increased the tension between the government and the United States.

Secondly, some of the countries have adopted the “weak man’s weapon” as a result of the improved technology (Keohane, 2008). This has increased the number of terrorist activities using sophisticated methods. The countries that perceive themselves to be on the receiving end of political and military injustices perpetrated by the western powers have lost no opportunity in carrying out overt attacks. This has resulted in a change in global politics, particularly to do with immigration. As an act of promoting security, countries such as the United States and France have restricted the immigration of individuals from identified Muslim countries.
Conclusively, technology and expanding military formations have resulted in political changes with the leading countries engaging in a race for military prowess as well as some countries adopting technology-drives terrorism activities. The political tension between the United States and North Korea is military and technology driven. Also, the heightened immigration politics has a foundation in the technology used by individuals affiliated with terror groups and who infiltrate boundaries to perpetrate attacks.
