Bronfenbrennar

It is important to note that Urie Bronfenbrenner was a psychologist who developed an ecological systems theory. It can be acknowledged that this particular theory explains how the environment affects a child’s development and growth. In relation to the movie, Forest easily bonded with Jenny because the two were going through the same experiences in life.

Bullying

Being bullied in school made Forest realize that he did not need the leg braces and could run very fast. It is this running that landed him a scholarship to the University of Alabama. Additionally, his friend Jenny was going through molestation which kind of resembles bullying and the two find each other as confidants.
