The effectiveness of the leaders comes for the experience that he has formed working with other international companies. He has served several other associations, nonprofit organizations, and higher learning institutions with several multicultural practices. Some of the engagement of Corey Briscoe that gives the skills include the Apollo theater and Coppin States University (ABCD, n.d.). The wide range of workplaces gives him the skills and knowledge he needs to align his operations with the mission statement of ABCD in service delivery. His effectiveness and competency are seen in the many media outlets that have featured him as one of the great organization leaders. Some media outlets include the wall street journal, the Washington Post, and even the ABC news (ABCD, n.d.). Besides, he has received several awards, including the BE modern man, for being the most influential leader.

The CEO's behavior is an indication of leadership at the time of the crisis. Leadership at the time of crisis is an essential element that shows their level of effectiveness and efficiency in their operations. True leaders show themselves at the time of trouble through their actions and behavior (Fener and Cevik, 2015). Decision-making in crisis management will stir the organization towards overcoming the situation. One of the CEO's actions/behaviors was to call for a meeting to discuss the issue. The behavior's prominent role is to listen to individual people on what their opinion is on the matter. It from such an action that it is possible as a leader to have a decision that is well informed and will strategically solve the issue at hand. As a leader, panicking at the moment of a crisis shown signs of guilt and weakness. The leader is supposed to be stronger than the other employees and give them hope that all will be well. A crisis calls for an immediate and quick response to curb the situation (Fener and Cevik, 2015). The CEO's ability to respond to the emergency immediately shows an adequate level of management and competency. A quick response aims to prevent further damage from taking place. However, a quick decision does not mean a hasty decision that does not consider other factors. A hasty decision that is not well-informed may cause more harm to the situation that was curbing.

The type of leadership style that the CEO was using is Democratic. In a Democratic leadership style, there are a hierarchy, authority, and protocols that need a keen observation. However, every member of the organization should air their views and contribute to the company's decision-making process. There is a decentralization of the decision-making process among all the subordinates (Khajeh, 2018). The idea of the CEO calling for a crisis meeting to hear the views and opinions of the other members shown that the leadership style he is using is democratic. The CEO does not make decisions to solve the crisis by himself. Instead, he values the concept of teamwork and wants to hear what they have in mind on how they should go about the situation. The style of leadership incorporates some traits of the leaders that make it to be successful. Some of the characteristics include being a good listener and a team builder. It is easy to solve an issue with the leadership style, and all the members of the organization are on the same page about the matter. The leadership style has positive implications on the level of performance of the company. Praises and criticism in the leadership style are given objectively, and the leading role is to provide the employees with a sense of responsibility. The CEOs idea to call for a meeting to discuss the issue is to make the other organizational member have a sense of responsibility in solving the crisis.

The type of leadership and management style that would align with the mission statement of the ABCD company is transactional. In leadership, the leader's central role is to provide the employees with incentives that will increase their level of performance (Khajeh, 2018). Some of the incentives include a day-off, pay rise or satisfactory performance review. The mission of ABCD is service delivery to the people through collaboration with other organizations. The best way to improve the offering of the service to the people is through employee motivation. The motivation can be possible through a transactional leadership style. However, the leadership style may not be practical due to the expectation (Khajeh, 2018). The employees and subordinates need to be motivated to accomplish tasks. However, there are situations where the man is motivated and fails to achieve the duties and responsibilities given. Form the mission statement, and there is also the aspect of collaboration with other organizations to improve the service delivery to the people effectively. The transactional leadership style will make the partnership possible by creating an optimal environment for the performance and articulating the vision to improve the organization's overall performance.

One theory that supports the findings is the trait theory. The theory stipulates that it is personal characteristics and traits that distinguish a leader for a non-leader. Form the idea, the behavior of an individual is what makes them a leader. Form the crisis, how the CEO behaves in response to the emergency, makes her the perfect leader. The theory does not put into consideration whether the traits of the leader are genetic or were acquired. The focus is on how best the leader utilized the characteristics in responding to a leadership situation at hand. There are several strategies that the leaders of ABCD can consider to improve their leadership. One of the recommendations is to have policies and procedures in the organization. The main aim is to make the leaders understand that they are accountable for their subordinates' actions. They don't have to work alone as they have the support of the other workshop members. The policies are only supposed to guide how to handle the matter in the organization and reduce contradiction. Another recommendation is to submit the authority to the other organizational members. The offer's leading role is for the workmates to realize that they all are under the control of someone. The recommendation is a good way of making the employees follow the right procedure and protocol while raising their issues. The last suggestion is to take tasks. Take tasks means that the leader will have to, at times, step out of the leadership role and be innovative. They need to be flexible enough and know the appropriate time to try a new procedure or even implement a new policy.
