As a consumer, I like shopping at our local mall just because of the great bargains such as cash backs, coupons, and discounts that they offer us, consumers. The local mall usually doubles their deals when they focus on doing either one week or a couple of weeks of double coupons. I shop there because they offer different products and services under good deals such as a week that a consumer gets the opportunity to use the double coupons. When I shop there at such times, I always feel like I am generally getting a great bargain that cannot be topped by another. This motivates me to keep coming back, more so, during these times when they have these great bargains and deals that I can take advantage off without worrying much about the retail price. For instance, this particular week, the local mall held a great bargain where it seemed that almost half of the products were reduced by about 30 percent, which is actually a great deal considering that most of these products are expensive to a certain extent. Such a deal entices people such as me to go and shop more often. To this extent, I feel that the price reduction that occurs therein is actually a very good bargain deal, since as mentioned before; the prices are reduced to about 30 percent, which means that the consumer purchases at a lesser price.

Placing such a discount under very careful considerations, I as a consumer who shops there feel like I do not overpay when the local mall, where I shop at decides to offer discounts among other great bargain deals. More so, this elates my heart since I know that if it were at another mall, I would have bought the product that I purchased either by a price that is more or an even price known all over. Thus, I feel that this local mall is considering its customers and showing them that it values and understands their customers, more so, their needs and wants and their monetary situation. Nevertheless, I do not feel as though the retailer is sacrificing his or her revenue for the sole benefits of his or her customers. On the contrary, through such an advertisement and promotion executed therein, the local mall gets to attract, attain, and retain two or even more customers who have the willingness to purchase a product that is expensive therein. Knowing that they are adding to their customer base, the local mall becomes even more willing to sacrifice some of its revenue in order to not only get customers but to also provide them with quality products, therefore, building their name.

I believe that the question of whether or not their practices are ethical and beneficial or deceiving has two sides of the coin. In that, many customers who lack the monetary influence that will allow them to shop for different products that they desire actually benefit from the discounts and the great bargains and it becomes safe to say that such practices are ethical, since the low incomed people are considered and therefore, benefit. On the other hand, their practice becomes unethical because they are deceiving well pocketed customers for their own personal gains.
