Critical thinking is an essential virtue for each person, and lack of it can result in a challenging life and a career due to an individual’s inability to process and analyze information effectively. In most reading, these are critical thinking elements most authors exhibit in their work. The first is identification. Most authors identify the critical matter that forms the basis of their discussion, isolate it and discuss it critically. The next element is research. In this case, the authors cite different sources acknowledging the authors as an indication that the conclusion is drawn after analyzing different views. Also important is determining relevance is a valuable part of critical thinking. It includes selecting the vital information, isolating it and using it as a basis of argument. Next is inference. The inference is where the author uses raw data and statistic to make a meaningful conclusion on the subject matter. Lastly is avoiding bias. Authors avoid bias by remaining neutral to assess the two sides of the situation.

Gender inequity is a situation where men and women receive different treatment. The meaning and causes of gender inequity vary from person to person. In this case, analysis of critical thinking elements with regards to author’s presentation is the focus ( Gender Inequality: Critical Thinking of What Gender Inequality Is, 2018). The article by Jackeline Palacio exhibit excellent critical thinking elements. In this article the author claim that gender inequity should be focused on in the perspective of both men and women. The author demonstrates skills such as research, inferences and bias elimination by concentrating on the two sides, citing different sources, and isolating his primary point of discussion. The second article an article by Women Unlimited. The report addresses the causes of gender inequity. The authors show minimal creativity and poor critical thinking by focusing on one side of the topic. The author also does not adequately acknowledge or cite numerous sources used, and this shows lack of creative thinking in a publication.
