Global inequality is something we find ourselves in; this depends on where we are born and where we stay ( Anthony, 2015 ). Developing countries have higher chances of babies dying than developed because developed have better health facilities than those of developing countries. Global inequality is not based on who you are but where you are. There are people that have better opportunities than others thus access better healthy, wealthy, and happy lives while others live in ill-health, poverty and sorrow ( Razavi, 2002 ). Others are suffering from lack of opportunities where they cannot achieve better lives.
However global inequality can also be seen where the poor cannot access the privileges that are necessary for life. A good example is in the video where the poor have clean water around their settlement but cannot access the water because the wages they get in the years is little to make the monthly purchase for water bills thus they are forced to walk miles and fetch unclean water which is dangerous for consumption because one of the children died for drinking ]this water that the parents fetched.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
This inequality continues to a point where the children are segregated at school, the other children cannot play with them because they haven’t showered and their clothes are untidy. Thus the rich and those with money can exploit resources ( Razavi, 2002 ), and sell them at higher prices for poor to afford. Another example is where the Coke Cola Company is extracting more water than other organization and when questioned they say they make good use of the water, and additionally farming is taking more water on irrigation than the company something that is not truth because it’s as a result of the companies exploiting the water that the land has dried and the water tables sank deeper.
Thus poor are suffering because they cannot get clean water. Also in the clothing company after the incident that consumed lives and left many without limbs and legs, the poor were majorly affected and have never been compensated ( Anthony, 2015 ), they gather daily asking for compensation something that has never been done but if the affected were people in different and developed countries, they will have been paid and compensation given them immediately after the incident. In other developed countries, these members would be regarded as heroes.
