State two (2) possible outcomes of a writer neglecting to use correct basic rules of writing and grammar and punctuation rules when communicating electronically in the workplace.
Once a writer neglects the use of correct basic rules of writing and grammar and punctuation rules when communicating electronically in the workplace, one of the possible outcomes is miscommunication where the intended message gets distorted and the recipient may not get the intended message. The other possible outcome is the creation of a poor impression for the company as well as the writer where he or she may be deemed as incompetent in their profession. As a result, the company may lose potential customers (Quible & Griffin, F. (2007).

Share your experience receiving a professional communication (text, email, memo, or letter) that did not adhere to writing conventions and / or used incorrect grammar and punctuation; then explain the impact of these issues on the failure of the communication.
In my case, I received an email that was massively wanting in adherence to basic rules of writing and grammar and punctuation. The message contained a lot of short forms and abbreviated words that were unfamiliar and I could not fathom some of them. Worse still, the email contained glaring spelling mistakes that left a large section of the entire document flagged in my documents reader. Since I could not make meaning of the message, I had to reply the email asking for a grammatically coherent document that laid out the message clearly. The result was loss of valuable time in sending emails back and forth, an activity that could have been avoided. On the other hand, the poor impression discouraged me from pursuing my interests in that particular organization. From this example it is for a fact that communication breaks down when one of the parties fails to adhere to the writing conventions. Wrongly spelt words leave an unclear message which may be misunderstood by the other party. Similarly, wrong punctuations may result in distortions throughout the message hence affecting communication.
