Purpose
My Vision: To become an experienced accountant who is able to provide financial advice for the purpose of promoting the successes of organizations both locally and internationally.

Greater focus on addressing the needs of customers and promoting their involvement in decision making: I have always held the belief that customers need to be given the first priority in making sound financial decisions regarding their investments. As an accountant with international experience, I will be able to use my experience as a measure of promoting the ability of customers to make effective use of their funds.

Increased diversity management and understanding of cultural factors affecting customers of diverse characteristics: in the accounting profession, it is likely that the accountant is likely to encounter people with different cultural beliefs , ethnic characteristics, and personal perspectives based on their professions or occupation. There is the need to increase cooperation and understanding of these differences in order to perform the roles of an accountant in an effective manner.
The ability to act in accordance with the mission and visions of organizations of practice: In most accounting organizations, there is the vision of expanding their operational activities and achieving competitiveness in the areas in which they operate. As an accountant, I will ensure I perform my role with dedication in a manner that promotes the achievement of the visions and missions of both local and international businesses.
Apply integrity and ethics in accounting and dedication towards resolving organizational challenges and promoting the pursuance of the goals of stakeholders: as an employee of a financial organization in international assignment, I will be required to make accounting decisions in a manner that complies with the standards of practice and ethical accounting procedures that do not contribute to a loss of customers or the organization in which I am assigned.
Stakeholder Identification
There are a number of stakeholders whose interests will need to be addressed as an international accountant. In a similar manner, I will need their involvement in order to meet my professionals and personal development as an accountant. They include the following:
The Shareholders: The main concern of shareholders is whether their funds can result in profits. The accounting tasks performed in international assignment will determine whether the needs of the investors will be achieved or not ( Zaman Mir & Shiraz Rahaman, 2005) . Therefore, I will increase my accounting practices in a manner that the institution in which I work achieves high profitability to the satisfaction of the shareholders. This is based on the fact that it is due to their initiative that I have been assigned the task of working in the institution.
The management: The people involved in making major decisions in the financial institution in which I work will be another stakeholder that will determine the manner in which I perform my role. I will ensure I exercise cooperation and allegiance to the institution and the culture used by the management in the performance of different tasks.
Customers: They are the most direct stakeholders who I will deal with during my international assigned due to the fact that I may need to manage their savings, acquisition of other bank services depending on the department in which I will be allocated. I will have to promote friendliness to them and quality service provision as a measure of promoting their willingness to use the services of the institution.
In order to address the needs of the above stakeholders, my international accounting career will be based on the following mission statement:
Mission Statement: To perform accounting tasks in the profession in a manner that promotes the satisfaction of clients and improved effectiveness of different products and services provided by accountants in their professions.
Opportunity Identification-Environmental Analysis
According to my environmental analysis of the current global financial activities, the most influential driving force that needs to be focused on by financial institution is the provision of money transfer services. There is increased the transfer of funds depending on the political and economic state of countries in which people invest. Financial institutions need to train their employees on methods of managing foreign currencies and advising clients since it is an area of common relevance in international accounting. There are also particular forces and that have an impact on my values and beliefs regarding accounting during an international assignment. The accounting standards used by different countries vary significantly despite the fact that all standards are globally recognized ( Adams, 2015) . During my international assignment, there is the likelihood that the accounting principles used in my country of assignment may not be similar to that which I use in my current country. Therefore, there will be the need to undergo training on the use of the accounting principles in the country of the assignment before I will be able to work effectively.
There are particular forces of change that will promote my ability to achieve my life purpose of becoming a competent professional accountant. The fact that I will be based in a foreign country with a different culture implies that the decisions I make will be determined only by professional competence rather than cultural understanding. This will enable me to act in an impartial manner when providing solutions to challenges encountered by customers. However, effective managerial tasks will only be achievable on the basis of my ability to adapt to the cultures and use the accounting standards in the country of assignment.
Core Competency Identification-Personal Assessment of Strengths and Weaknesses
Despite the feeling of nervousness in my international accounting assignment, I believe that I have the competence to perform a number of roles of an accountant in a competent manner to the satisfaction of both shareholders, customers, and other stakeholders. I possess the ability to work with resilience and develop a positive attitude towards any managerial or task-oriented problem that needs to be solved. These strengths will promote my ability to seek solutions to challenges in customers’ management and strategy development before I will be able to implement any solution to activities in the institution in which I will be assigned. I also have the characteristic of empathy when addressing the needs of customers and I will ensure their specific needs are addressed in order to promote their loyalty to the institution. However, I am not proficient in making a change in my environment of practice when I move to a new working environment with an increase in unfamiliarity which usually affects my performance. However, I will overcome this challenge by undergoing a comprehensive orientation program.

Career Strategies
The most preferred organization in which I would like to work during my international assignment as an accountant is a banking institution. This is because I will be able to apply different accounting principles such as balancing books of accounts, providing customers with savings advice, and enabling them to make savings and deposits over the counter. The values of the organization in which I work for fit my beliefs and values by its involvement in financial management and creating a workforce that is focused on promoting its customers savings. The banking institution in which I work fits my values due to its mission of providing unrivaled customer services that promote its sustainability and competitiveness.
Within the context of the realities of the environment in which I work, the goal of my first job as an accountant will be to dedicate my time to learn about the procedures and regular activities that take place in the organization and implement my basic knowledge as an accountant to resolve operational and managerial roles. In order to get the job of an international accountant, I will look for job vacancies in organizations in the countries in which I am interested in working .
In 5 years after graduation, I would like to acquire enough operational management skills at my position such as customer services, deposits and withdrawals management, and the provision of financial advice to customers. In a period of 10 years, I will increase my involvement in the managerial role by specializing in a particular area of financial management such as credit management. In 20 years, I will be in a position to understand the overall trends in performances of banks in the country in which I operate and facilitate strategic decision making to promote its sustainability and competitiveness. In order to progress in my career as an accountant, I will need to pursue higher education in management such as the acquisition of Masters Degree in management as well as implement my experience in performing different tasks of financial management and consultation with other managers within the banking institution. According to my beliefs, a professional is required to possess a particular educational qualification in order to be in a managerial position. He or she is also expected to expect to possess work experience which shows that he has the ability to apply his educational knowledge into practice. With the understanding of the constant changes taking place in the world, I will need to be very adaptable to technological and communication changes as well as innovations in banking activities. I will also need to be adaptable to the changes in the accounting standards used in the country in which I work in order to remain relevant in the accounting profession.
Life Strategies
Apart from institutional stakeholders, there will be other stakeholders who will require my involvement in value creation for them. I will need the support of my community in the achievement of my career objectives. The support can be in the form of motivational and psychological support to pursue my career as an accountant ( Nobes, 2014) . However, their involvement in the provision of support will change over time because they will not be closer to me in my assignments and I will have to rely on my experience and inspiration to perform my professional role. There might be conflicts of interests such as the need to get in touch with my community members or people who are closer to me but since I will be based internationally, I will need to forgo the closeness to them and focus on my career path. However, I will be able to use different means of communications such as international communication techniques to keep in touch with them. In order to achieve a fuller, satisfying life, I will ensure I seek leaves and vacations that enable me to be free from occupational activities for certain duration of time before resuming work. When I have worked for a long duration of time and made enough savings, I will look for a ‘life partner’ who will enable me to start my own family. In the search for a life partner, I will not be interested in the person’s nationality; ethnicity or race provided she has the ability to contribute to my life needs such as supporting me morally and emotionally.
Performance
My perception of success with respect to various stakeholders is the ability to make decisions that promote the financial outcomes of an institution in accordance with the needs of shareholders, the ability to promote a culture of teamwork and dedication in accordance with the needs of other employees in an institution, the ability to provide excellent services to customer and satisfying support in a manner they would like to be served, and the ability to develop a culture of responsibility in accordance with the needs of the society in which I work. In order to anticipate their needs and provide different stakeholders with their most recommended services, I will develop the value of empathy which will enable me to understand what needs to be done to enable them to get satisfaction from my services to them. In order to achieve high performance in my area of assignment, I will seek guidance and support from the senior managers who have the experience in resolving different operational and managerial challenges within the institution in which I work. In addition, I will conduct research in different articles that address the operational issue under consideration in order to promote strategic decision making and effective operational performance in the tasks in which I am involved.
