Health indicators are important in providing vital information towards population management in a country. Important factors of consideration such as infant mortality and life expectancy can be used to determine the productivity of a people in a country. This paper analyzes three major health indicators for group members, namely life expectancy, infant mortality and subjective wellness in the four home states of the members.

A look at the life expectancy for the four states shows that there is a relatively high life expectancy rate in all four states, all ranging between 77.5 years to 80.3 years. This can be attributed to healthy living as well as the access to proper healthcare facilities. Moreover, the United States department of Health has heavily invested in the provision of care to all members of society through avenues such as the Affordable Care Act. In this initiative, the uninsured and underinsured can now access healthcare affordably at care institutions at the expense of the government. The result is that there is a significant amount of people who can now receive healthcare at reduced costs, thereby increasing life expectancy (Davis, Abrams, & Stremikis, 2011). Nonetheless, before the introduction of the Affordable Care Act, sensitization on proper health practices among Americans has been imprinted socially. Focus on healthy eating habits, hygiene and standard care in hospitals has been encouraged, leading to an improved standard of living.

This can equally be reflected in the low infant mortality rates in all four states. Access to proper healthcare, maternal services and quality care of children has led to reduced cases of infant mortality in almost all American states. With the addition of the Affordable Care Act, it is expected that there will be an improvement in the care for children, especially among the poor, underinsured and uninsured (Sommers, Baicker, & Epstein, 2012). Infant mortality can also be attributed to the health of the parents, where a variety of diseases have been known to be hereditary or as a result of poor health mechanism on the part of the parent. Low numbers of infant mortality means that there is generally good standards of public health among parents and personal health standards where children are raised.

With regards to general subjective standard of well-being, we have considered the states by rank in relation to all fifty states. Therefore, the values given in each case are the values considered by research in relation to three major indicators: emotional and physical wellness, work environment and communal, recreational and environmental activities (Bernado, 2015). In this research, money as a contributing factor to the happiness of the residents of that state was considered. Various rankings were given accordingly. Arizona, New Jersey and Illinois were the most happy states among the four, coming in quick succession of each other, while Missouri was considered the lest satisfactory state among the four. Seeing that wellness was a combination of the three factors, personal wellness, work environments and recreational activities were least available in Missouri as opposed to the other areas of interest.

In conclusion, the three states are generally accessible to healthcare facilities. However, people will prefer Arizona, New Jersey and Illinois as opposed to Missouri for personal reasons as opposed to infrastructural reasons. In essence, research show that Americans do not perceive Missouri as a fun place to live in.
