Indeed, the United States government through the various authorities and federal laws has declared illegal many radical movements in the country, a move that is aimed at improving not only public safety but also prevent massive property damage and loss of life as it happened in when the World Trade Center was attacked by terrorists. Most of these radical groups are disguised as alternative religious movements, but they commit various crimes under that disguise (Bowen 2015). As evident in the film The Third Jihad, these groups use propaganda and religious indoctrination to communicate their ideologies to people as a way of rallying support. Various efforts by the authorities with close liaison with members of the public has led to the arresting of suspicious individuals who may be potentially dangerous.
However, Christians have a moral obligation beyond tipping of the police in case of suspicious activities. As mandated in the book of Psalms, Christians should reach out to these incarcerated individuals and minister to them the will of God and help them understand that God still values them. This mentality has its major strength in ensuring a more Godly approach to matters rather than involving authorities who arrest such individuals. Ministering to them may bring a lot of character reform than what is achieved in prisons. The major weakness of this kind of thinking is that such individuals may take the opportunity to harm Christians or commit other grave atrocities against people.

Thread two
The events described in Steve Emerson and Ryan Mauro’s book are just the representation of the bigger picture of how America has been a lucrative target for terror activities perpetrated by the radical Islamic groups. The number of actualized terror attacks and those that were botched up by authorities indicates how the Islamic groups are striving to bring Islam to global recognition by installing the caliphate ( Pinfari 2019) . These threats by homegrown jihadist extremists should be taken seriously by the American government, where citizens should be sensitized on the possible dangers associated with Islamic ideologies. This exercise should be implemented by both the national government as well as the national government.
The main strength with this reasoning is that the citizens will be sensitized appropriately by the authorities, hence they will resist the radical ideologies. The main weakness in this kind of reasoning is that engaging terrorists through ideological wars and mere sensitization may take a lot of time to effect, in which damage may already have occurred as the terrorists are usually swift in the way they conduct their attacks. Hence it would be safer to use more robust options such as security organs and intelligence agencies.
