When comparing the overall health care system in America, how does it compare just 40 years ago?
Today’s health care system in America is significantly different from how it used to be 40 year s ago. Visible changes in the system include, a decrease in the mortality rate by 30% from 1980. There is a huge decline of 17% in the case of mortality rate, for deaths amenable to health care in the US. A significant fall in premature deaths has been seen (Ramirez et al, 2019). A statistical difference in the overall percentage of adults reporting worse health, which has risen especially among women and Whites is evident. Another change is the adoption of appropriate preventive care, which is illustrated by having more children receiving routine vaccines. An increase in obesity among adults is also clear. More women are receiving biopsy at a time of mastectomy. And finally, communication has improved in hospitals , and Medicare patients have confirmed it.

Some of the technological advancements in health care in the future will include, development of artificial intelligence in medicine, this will entail the designing of processes, treatment , and procedure by algorithms (Mesko, 2020). A myriad of health sensor s is also likely to come in the future; this will help in tracking diseases. Also the development of quantum computing, which will put medical decisions on a new level. Chatbots may be invented to provide the first line of care. Finally, the establishment of 5G will serve the whole ecosystem of digital health.

What are your predictions for the success of the ACA, especially in the next 5 years?
In the next 5 years the Affordable Care Act will be successful in, making health care more affordable and available to all American citizens (Center et al, 2017).
