The growth and building up of towns take more than just erecting structures. Some factors can lead to a city's development and its build-up, which may necessarily include business and interaction with the outside world. For instance, America has undergone drastic changes and massive development and changes to build up the current state that is there. One of the major reasons why the state has been developed is due to the railroads. The railroads have historically been the major reason why America has grown to the level that it is today. That is because the railroads brought a link between America and the outside world, which helped states acquire what they did not have and also have a chance to learn from their neighbor’s ideas.

Building America to what it currently takes is transited across centuries to make today’s America. Beginning with the settlement schemes, many analysts had used different methods to analyze how the railroads brought about the settlement and when it took place (Shoup, 2017). In early 1810 the few railroads that had been constructed helped the state to interact with the external countries, which was an achievement to them and the other states they got intact with that they could sell their ideas and products to an outside market, which means the market places in America too grew. The cities that had the railroads likely stopped developing in terms of structures as the settlement spread further with the years still passing by.

Although the railroads were a gateway to settlement, developments, and business enlargements, it is evident that some cities that were so promising in the past that is interns of settlement and structures are getting vacated and being left unoccupied with people moving to the recently settled areas which the analyst have mapped all this data to show the changes that appear in this settlements in different towns. An example of a city that has faced this kind of change in Detroit city. In the early 1880s, the city had a promising population and market too, which attracted development and erection of the structure, and also the population kept increasing after every census. In half a century ago, the city has deteriorated in all aspects, which is characterized by a falling population, stagnant structure construction, and now the neighboring cities that are getting constructed recently are assumed to be sucking Detroit slowly by slowly. The main reason why Cities like Detroit are deteriorating is because of the fact to t that the neighboring cities may have been a more favorable geographic location compared to that of Detroit (Locke et al., 2018). Detroit has been overwhelmed by high unemployment rates and poverty, while the neighboring cities are just right at the borders to continue to develop economically and population-wise.

Through the cartographer’s quest to identify new data, many new things have been revealed about America that could not have got merely identified. The maptastic has been able to analyze urbanization of all the cities in America chronologically, which has been an important asset to most analysts and business people in making their business plans and knowing which are the appropriate areas to invest in and which ones are not. For example, the East and West America density are categorically conspicuous from the 1870s (Cai et al., 2018). The developments in different cities in America got facilitated by the fact that the railroad made its way through the cities. Some cities were also geographically positioned in places that were more favorable than others. For example, some cities did well in agriculture. Other places like southwest Michigan have diversified their economy significantly.

Just like the internet’s gradual growth has attracted new opportunities and introduced a new lifestyle, America's modernization has greatly impacted different people's lifestyles in different cities of the state. The major difference is the social classes in that as the towns still develop, states are being developed modernly and more recent where the constructions in those cities are more modern and more appealing and expensive than the structures that were erected in the 18th century. The railroads are the source of all these development in that they have connected the state with the outside world, which has brought about new opportunities and new ideas that include architectural designs, business ideas, and diversification, which brings innovations.

Conclusively, it is evident that the railroads are one of the most essential and key factors that have led to America's development due to the links and connections that it has brought to the different cities in America. However, some of the cities that dominated in the 18th century have deteriorated, and others have outgrown even the older cities due to differences in geographical location and the interest of growing generations that have turned to settle and develop different areas away from the original old cities. The maptastic has been of great use in helping identify how the railroads have impacted America's development.
