Aggression is the feelings of antipathy or anger caused by violent or hostile behaviors and this makes an individual becomes ready to confront or attack others. This behavior is normally rampant among children after they have been brain-washed and radicalized by the media especially through running of various TV programs on fighting, wrestling and antisocial behaviors such as warring movies/films. On the other hand, prosaically behaviors are feelings of empathy and a child's ability to empathize with others can also be boosted by the media especially through the running of TV shows or programs on social programs such as helping the poor, disabled and charity based programs. This means that media can, on one hand, instill aggressive behaviors in individuals and one the other hand instills prosaically behaviors in individuals especially the children.
Articles summary
Huesmann and Taylor (2006) in their article argue that media violence negatively contributes to threats in healthcare since it results in increased aggression and real-world violence. According to Huesmann and Taylor (2006), film violence and fictional TV programs result in both long-term and short-term escalation in aggression and violence especially in children viewers.” The TV violent shows particularly are blamed for these problems as they lead to acts of suicide and self-harm among children.

Kaplan (2012) on the other hand, argues that violence in media is constantly increasing and very soon it will reach proportions that are uncontrollable. The author claims that nowadays when turning on televisions, what is there is just violence. According to Kaplan (2012), the reality of these programs is extremely distorted thus leading people just to live in a fictional world which leads them into criminal acts.
Finally, Bushman and Huesmann (2006) tested for both long-term and short-term impacts of aggressive behaviors resulting from media for kids and found the short-term impacts of violent media to be greater for adults as compared for kids while the long-term impacts were found to be greater for kids as compared to adults thus concluding that exposure of both adults and children to media violence subsequently will lead to violent and aggressive behaviors in them.
